The living room looked like any other living room; the warm, brown and earthy orange hues giving it a comfortable vibe, which matched the warmth of the fireplace perfectly. The girl, who'd just been trying to create a baby, rose from her seat on the sofa, eyes locked on what was definitely too big to be a baby, or a toddler for that matter. Hell, he was taller than her, even.
My, my, my, what do we have here? Green eyes looked at the child, examining him as their holder circled the boy. She hadn't expected a child to show up, especially since she was trying to make an infant. Oh dear... what if the kid was mentally a child? What if he wasn't? She was not prepared for this situation. The girl stopped circling, clearing her throat before adressing the boy.
"Hello." Darcy greeted, her tone calm as she addressed the boy. "Do you have a name?" She was trying not to confuse the boy with too many questions; she was sure being born was overwhelming enough as is.

The boy blinked at her a bit before nodding. "Uh yeah? S'Xanatos. Why wouldn't I have one?" he asked, scratching his messy red hair a bit. For a kid born with a name and only one leg, he seemed to be doing pretty okay. "Why d'you asssss-ow!" he jumped a bit as a a pointy object poked his butt.
Looking down, a small, buckytoothed creature with the antlers. "Oh, Cuppy, hi. Ch'doin down here?" he asked, reaching down to pick up the shadow, which began making purry noises.

Green eyes widened, locking on the little black...thing. "What. is. that?" she asked, backing away half a step. Darcy had never seen a shadow before, obviously. And, had she had her house-keys on her, she probably would have thrown them at the jellowy things as a bad substitute for a keyblade. But, since her keys were half-way across the room, no projectiles were going to be thrown at the shadow.
"Well, since you were just born, I wasn't sure if you had a name." she said, trying to ignore the shadow and focus. "How do you feel?" Crap, she'd hadn't expected to have to look for guardian this soon....snap.

Xanny pat the little creatures back a bit as she started to nibble on a scarf he was wearing. "This's ummmmmmmmm a ummmmmmmmm..." he looked down at her a bit, "A Cuppy. S'squishy. It eats a lot." he patted her back a bit.
"Um.........I feel okay? I think? Anyway, what's goin on?"

"I see...." Darcy said slowly, nodding. She then offered a smile, motioning for the boy to take a seat. "Well, as you may or may not know, you were just born. Congratulations and welcome to life. Happy birthday, ect. So, tell me; what do you know of yourself?" Her tone took on a curious edge as she reached the end of her sentence.

"An airship?" Darcy asked, perching on the coffee table. She nodded, listening. "Robots, huh? Robots are pretty cool." She paused a minute, trying to gather her thoughts. This wasn't awkward at all. Nope, not one bit. "So...do you know where you are? Or where this is?" she asked, trying to make small talk.

Xanny seemed totally calm and cool with the idea of being in strange place. For all he knew, this is where he belonged, right? "Yep. We're a crew of dorky pirates - the only airship pirates!" the stated proudly, nearly dumping Cuppy as he pat his chest.
"Anyway, so um...naw, I don't know where I am. Cept I think this is a kinda nice livingroom."

Darcy smiled; so far, this was going pretty good. And it was good to see the boy had such a great sense of self-confidence. Wait, wait, what was that about pirates? "So, you're an airship pirate captain?" she asked, not bothering to hide her curiosity. That was so cool! "That sounds like fun."
She then nodded. "We're in my living room, and the house is near Durem." she said, glancing around a moment. "So, any questions I could answer for you?"

Xanny seemed to take it all in stride before he was asked to answer questions. "Uh yeah, I have a few. Um......where's Durem? And do you have any snacks? Like cheesypoofs?" he asked, looking down at Cuppy chewing on his cuff.

"Durem is an area here on Gaia, and Gaia is the world we're on." The girl explained. She then smiled, nodding. "Of course we do. AARON! BRING ME SOME CHEESY POOFS, PLEASE!" She turned her head, calling to the other end of the house. Movement could be heard from the other rooms as said-Aaron went to get the snacks like a good, well-trained brother.

Xanny blinked sheepishly as Aaron came into view with the snacks, "Sorry man, I didn't realize you were like elsewhere or somethin. I coulda gotten them, they're jus' for Cuppy." he rambled some, pointing at the critter who jumped up and tried to eat the bag.
"No, bad Cuppy, you aren't supposed to eat the plastic anymore, remember?" he said, restraining the shadow and holding her still till the bag was safely put down.

Aaron blinked at the boy; who in the world was he? He offered a friendly smile and a shake of his head. "Don't worry about it.I was on my way in here anyway." Okay, that wasn't exactly true, but it wasn't like it was any great task to bring in a bag of chips. What he didn't expect was the little black thing, Cuppy, jumping up at him or, more importantly what he was holding in his hand. The boy let out a surprised yell, jumping back away from the leaping, antlered creature.
Darcy let out an amused chuckle, rising to her feet and plucking the bag from her twin. "No need to be so jumpy." she said, her voice saturated with unreleased laughter. Atleast she was trying not to laugh in his face, right? The girl sat the bag back down on the coffee table for the shadow before smiling at Xanny. "Xanatos, this is my brother, Aaron. Aaron, this is Xanatos. He'll be staying here for a bit."
A knowing glance was shared between the siblings; Aaron looking for more of an explaination and Darcy promising one later. But now was neither the time nore place to do so. They had guests, after all.
