If you're getting a 360 Slim, you can allegedly get a cord that can transfer the memory from your 360 Fat hard drive to the Slim. You might be able to do the same from a Fat to a Fat, but the only confirmed way I know how to transfer memories from Fats is through a Memory Card.

There is a product that lets you transfer data from one hard drive to another: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Microsoft+-+Data+Transfer+Cable+for+Xbox+360/1073227.p?id=1218217000445&skuId=1073227

A bit because the Slim doesn't use the same kind of hard drive/save device as the Fat does. Thus why you'll need to drop something like $20 USD for the wire to transfer the Fat's memory to the Slim.

there is a simple way to do this Get a flashdrive that is atleast 16gigs. Pop it into your 360, go to memory settings and configure it, then over the files to it, rinse and repeat.

Actually most flash drives don't meet performance specs for the xbox. I speak from experience and from working at a gaming store. You'll wanna grab the transfer cable hook it up to your old hard drive from your classic Xbox, and your new xbox slim. Should only take like fifteen to twenty minutes to transfer all your files.

I told him to get something official xbox, but nooo... he had to get the offbrand thing from china... gonk
Not that big of a deal, I've been meaning to start a new ME record anyway. n__n

Flash Drive is the way to go in my opinion but personally I think microsoft should have made an external Hard drive to begin with.

mmm... the transfer is actually pretty simple ya know, even from elite to elite where you need a disc to elite to slim/slim to slim where you only need the chord...real easy seriously...
