damaraisan To quote myself from times that I was packing....."I'LL MAKE IT FIT!!!" . During the couple years I lived in Oklahoma, I worked a stretch for Wal-Mart. We had 4 Asst. Managers, aand one had two famous sayings: "It'll fit." and "So whaddayou want me to do about it?" One time he had us stack large light-weight boxed toys two high on the top shelf of a long section. He kept saying, "It'll fit." And...the whole thing slowly fell over, once it was all up. Then we asked him what to do, and he said, "So, whaddaya want me to do about it?" I had two friends in town at that time, one on the warehouse crew and the other was his wife. Turns out the other one was his mistress. The wife said it wasn't a problem, but it was more than I could deal with. I'd been denying gossip in the lunchroom to people who knew it was true long before I did. It was almost a relief to get laid off after Christmas. I think over half of us were. And he was the nice one of the 4 Asst. Managers. We gave the head manager a gilded cow pattie at the Christmas dinner as a combined birthday and Christmas gift. He was really nice about it - the only time he ever was nice, in fact. Angry seemed to be his normal mode

Epiphany Some of my favorites: To be nobody-but-yourself -- in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else -- means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting. - E.E. Cummings You can never really know someone completely. That’s why it’s the most terrifying thing in the world, really—taking someone on faith, hoping they’ll take you on faith too. It’s such a precarious balance, It’s a wonder we do it at all. And yet.... - Libba Bray I'm taking one of those quiet moments where I weigh your good qualities against your bad ones and decide if you're actually worth the trouble. – Scrubs Needing was so easy: it came naturally, like breathing. Being needed by someone else, though, that was the hard part. -Sarah Dessen, Lock and Key I love ee cummings! Dorothy Parker and Gore Vidal had some good zingers, too! Rudyard Kipling was a really famous author about 1890, I guess. I used to have a book of cartoons from a period of about a hundred years, and it went back that far. In one old one, a man and a "Gibson Girl" (a woman with a pouffy hair and blouse, and a long flared skirt) were staring deeply into each others' eyes across a small table. He asks, "Do you like Kipling?" She answers, "I don't know, how do you kipple?" rofl

fastbeatslowbass Ubi dubium ibi libertas! It's latin for 'where there is doubt, there is freedom'. Since I'm never sure about one day to the next, whenever I feel uncertain , I think about it and feel a little bit better. I like that. Our school stopped teaching Latin right before I got there, and I've always regretted it.

My 3 favorite quotes: "The Past is history; The Future is a mystery; This moment is a gift; That is why this moment is called the present; Enjoy it." - Allan Johnson "The Greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return." - Moulin Rouge "You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep at night because reality is finally better then your dreams.” - Dr. Sues

My top 5 favorite quotes: (WARNING, Ideology sensitive for certain people! I remind you that these are only quotes from fictional characters!)
"People SHOULD be doubted. Many people misunderstand this concept. Doubting is simply a part of trying to get to know them. 'Trust.' That act is without a doubt a very noble one... But you know, what many people do, that they call 'trust', is actually giving up on trying to understand others. & that has nothing to do with 'trust', but is rather... Apathy. There are countless people out there who fail to realize that apathy is a far more devastating act than doubting others. The true evil is... Becoming apathetic about other people." -- Shinichi Akiyama
"THE COURT IS ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. ADJOURNED. " -- Dlanor A. Knox
"The food they were given had small bombs in it, which exploded from the inside of their stomach. In other words, the crime is possible through trap X! The details of a bomb that they could swallow without noticing & that could blow up their stomach is a Devil's Proof! I refuse to explain!!" -- Battler Ushiromiya
"Systematic detachment from emotional reaction. Terrifying to realize how easy it is to be affected. It seems an emotional enema is next on the agenda. Flush out the excess humanity. Whether what happened was a dream or not, it still signifies the start of something new & untainted by slavery to some external thing. I feel more whole than before, & that brings its own danger - that of self-servitude." -- Johnny C.
"Sometimes... You can cry until there is nothing wet in you. You can scream & curse to where your throat rebels & ruptures. You can pray, all you want, to whatever god you think will listen. & still, it makes NO difference. It goes on, with no sign as to when it might release you. & you know that if it ever did relent... It would not be because it cared." -- Johnny C.

Must've been a Guardian of Myhrr...
~~~~~ Basic Tarot Story With all his worldly possessions in one small pack, the Fool travels he knows not where. So filled with visions, questions, wonder and excitement is he, that he doesn't see the cliff he is likely to fall over. At his heel a small dog harries him (or tries to warn him of a possible mis-step). Will the Fool learn to pay attention to where he's going before it's too late? Basic Tarot Meaning At #0 (or, in some decks, #22, the last card as much as the first of the Majors) the Fool is the card of infinite possibilities. The bag on the staff indicates that he has all he needs to do or be anything he wants, he has only to stop and unpack. He is on his way to a brand new beginning. But the card carries a little bark of warning as well. While it's wonderful to be enthralled with all around you, excited by all life has to offer, you still need to watch your step, lest you fall and end up looking the fool. http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/learn/meanings/fool.shtml
