Is there anyone here that can teach me to speak Japanese? I've always wanted to, but my mom thinks I should learn Chinese instead. I'm going to, but I'd like to learn Japanese first. Would anyone be willing to teach me?

hajimemashite. yoji0475 to moushimasu.
yoroshikune.

I think we're all still in progress of learning. But if you want to ask something just write here, that the purpose of this guild, ain't is it? So your brother n sister here can answer your question regarding Japanese. 3nodding

as a starter, what I do above is the simple way of introduction.
the forms are:
1. "hajimemashite". I don't know the perfect meaning of this phrase but it's only use at the very first time you've met. so you don't say this phrase at the second, third, etc. as a replace for this phrase you can use "ohayou/konnichi wa/komban wa" which respectively means "good morning/afternoon/evening".

2. "[your name] tomou shimasu", which means "I'm [your name]" like I did above.
or U can use "[your name] desu", which have the same meaning also.

3. "yoroshiku onegaishimasu". this is the polite form of phrase that I used above. I still quite not sure about the meaning of this phrase but it means something like "pleasure to meet you, please help me when I need help"
And for your information, Japanese young people use slang language, as for this phrase they use "yoropiku" or in phone text they use "4649".
can anyone here explain why they use "4649" ? 4laugh
