The act of taking another author’s story and rewriting it, often visiting a different perspective, an alternative plot element, or simply lengthening and improving on an original idea.

Many fanfiction communities encourage this concept, and I think we should give it a whirl here in the Wizarding World of Gaia. I’m certain all of us have thought “I wish I’d thought of that!” or “I wonder what so-and-so was thinking during all of this?” and itched to delve into the environment the author created.
So let’s have a go at that.
I intend to make this a Christmas Event (Fanfiction Remixing; the Gift that Keeps on Giving~) in which we will randomly swap authors and then remix a fanfiction of their choosing, but for now I’d like to do it freeform. After receiving permission from your fellow Wizarding World of Gaia author, remix one of their works and post it in the Big Desk Guild, linking back to the original. Let’s see what we come up with!
Oh, and I officially give everyone permission to remix anything I’ve done in the past. :3
