Jet the Kitten Star is based on Jet, a Dark Kitten Star-like character who first appeared in the Sparklicious and Sparkletastic manga. Outside of the manga, Jet later becomes co-owner of the Cash Shop with Cygnus.

Unlike the Were-poses of the earlier recolors, Jet the Kitten Star's Were-pose appears to be bipedal, much like how Jet (from the manga and from the Cash Shop) normally stands.
