Mini-glossary:
Foothold situation - when an enemy has control over the headquarters (Stargate Command).
G.D.O. - Garage Door Opener, opens the iris.
Iris - titanium metal alloy 'iris' that is set so close to the event horizon that nothing can materialize.
Event horizon - the area where the wormhole meets normal space.
I.D.C. - Identification Code, the code punched into the gdo to open the iris.
