I'll most likely be on early morning or after 10pm EST, as my work hours change, but tend to be 2-10ish 3nodding Current Residents:  Peanut Nice, very energetic, with a bit of a smart talkin' edge to her. She calls me slacker, does many crossword puzzles, and is constantly rearranging her furniture. She also keeps a good amount of flowers outside her house, some of which I've already accidentally killed. sweatdrop  Blaire My best friend, outside of Peanut. She's also very nice, and seems to be obsessed with the latest gossip, and who is going out with or being seen with who. She's a riot to listen to. Her nickname for me is 'Fancy-C'. blaugh  Chief Took me a little while to get to know him, but behind his brash act, Chief is a good guy. He also seems to have a secret love for fashion, as he is always bugging me about this shirt or that. Jeremiah He's been linked with almost every female in the village so far, according to Blaire. He also seems to have a crush on me.. must be a lady's man.  Marina She's very nice, but also very much likes her space. A few chats with her, and she's ready for me to leave, and isn't afraid to tell me so. She loves shells, and is a possible yaoi fan. blaugh  Rowan Very much into weightlifting and body-building, he likes to talk about muscles and exercise a lot. He loves to fish, but that isn't too unexpected for a tiger like him. Bud Very laid back, and very 'in the groove', Bud is an interesting character, as one can easily tell from his fashion sense. He, like Rowan, is into exercise, but he isn't into it as much as Rowan is. He, also like Rowan, really likes to fish.  Melba The newest neighbor! I can't wait until she's done unpacking~

January 20th
When I first arrived in the town of Phantas, the three residents already there did not come out to greet me. It wasn't unexpected, as only Nook knew I was coming, but it was a tad disheartening, especially considering the heavy rain and snow I'd been through to get here. The snow was falling softly when I arrived that cold night. I was very glad to see Nook, even though he had a pretty good sized bill ready for my tiny house. At least he gave me some time to pay it off. I vowed it would be done as soon as I could manage it, as I cannot think of anything I hate more then having a debt hang over my head.
Nook 'gifted' me with a part time position, which I took readily enough as I had no money whatsoever, and did not fancy feasting on nuts and cherries, the only fruit in town, just yet. The deliveries I made were over and done with quickly enough, and the town's other three residents were nice. Well, two of them were. I took an instant liking to Blaire, who was just quirky enough to be cute, and just nice enough to be a friend. Peanut was also a sweet little squirrel, and her being pink did not hurt at all. Chief, on the other hand, was a bit..loud and brash. Oh well, two out of three isn't bad.

January 21st
Oh, the sweet sound of freedom.. no more part time job for me! I didn't even earn that much.. gonk
Well, I did get some free duds. Which I promptly sold back to Nook. Strange that he paid me for his uniform back. Anyway, first order of business was to figure out a way to make bells, and fast. I scavenged on the beach for shells, and picked cherries at first, but thought there must be a better way to go about this. Luckily, Nook had a shovel and a fishing pole to start me out on my mortgage paying venture (not free, of course). It was a start.
After I dug up the countryside and unearthed a few fossils (Wow, why hasn't some big company found this spot yet?), I found my way to the museum to identify them. I felt extremely guilty, but I took them back after the identification process and sold them to Nook. I needed to pay that mortgage off or it would drive me bonkers. Little did I know that it would be the first of many. If I had known, I might have donated those fossils. sweatdrop

January 22nd
I cut this off a bit quick last night.. a new neighbor had arrived in town, so I went over to say hi. His name was Jeremiah, and he seemed an alright guy. A bit on the odd side..but not in an overly bad way. Just.. a bit odd. I came to this conclusion shortly after he sang "You love me, you love me not." a few times, and prompted me to say "I love you."
...Maybe he has a crush on me? sweatdrop He seemed pretty happy when I would concede and say it.
I also finally paid that mortgage off. Before gaining a new one with my house expansion. That's why I left the cryptic comment at the end. Oh, I was so naive to think Nook would let me out of his clutchs that easily. He waved the lure of a big beautiful house in front of me, and I fell for it hook, line and sinker. It's my own fault. Oh well, at least I have another goal to work towards, although with a bit less back-breaking this time.
Apparently it was a holiday today, 'Yay day', I think they called it. It was kinda fun, as even the grumpy Chief gave me a compliment. I gave them all relatively generic ones ("Your shirt is nice."), as I have no creativity in me for things like that, and went on my way. blaugh
Peanut visited me at my house! She seemed to like it, and commented on how small and cozy it was. She mentioned something about coffee and cake sometime, and I'll be looking forward to that.
We had two other additions today. Marina moved into a house right across from Blaire. With Blaire being the social butterfly she is, it isn't a surprise at all that she was dishing so much info on her already. Everything from the tea club she joined to rumors of a relationship between her and Jeremiah. It's actually kinda odd that she hasn't mentioned our other newcomer (I saw the moving van go by just a moment ago) yet.

Yeah, I'm writing this entry pretty early in the day, but I can always add to it later. mrgreen
Did an early morning delivery for Peanut, she wanted me to take something (which turned out to be a toga) to Chief for her. Peanut's been asking me to do this sort of favor a lot, I wonder if there is something there? Maybe I just hang around Blaire too much.. blaugh
Anyway, Chief REALLY liked it. Usually, he just harumphs and says it is nice and practical, and will do, but this time he nearly jumped for joy. She was really happy when I told her that, and gave me a nice pretty Dutch Shirt for myself. I like it a lot, it goes with my pink pigtails.
I've actually been donating my fish lately to the museum. I feel kind of good about that. Wow, does that guy lay a good guilt trip. Plus Nook's is going to be closed all day today for renovations.. might as well try to beef up the museum's displays while I'm killing time.

January 24th
Not a whole lot happened today.. found a few more fossils!
I also happened to see Blaire and Peanut get into an argument.. Peanut threatened to 'get her jazz hands out' several times, but it was resolved without it getting violant, thankfully. I honestly thought they got along pretty well, but I guess not. It was Blaire who started the argument.. I wonder what got into her?
Got to see Nook's new store today, too. Nook'N'Go is really modern looking, with sliding glass doors and everything! A pity I didn't get a chance to swing by until a few minutes before he closed for the day.
I've been slacking off on my fishing.. I have so many to catch.. gonk
I even have a contest going with Rowan (the new neighbor who moved in yesterday) on who can catch their first dab. Unluckily for me, I don't even know what a dab is.. I guess I'll find out when/if I catch one, right?
Both Rowan and Marina are.. interesting new neighbors. Rowan, with his obsession with exercise and weightlifting.. plus how he said "I'd like to talk to someone who isn't you." after a few chats. Then there is Marina, who will be very nice, then suddenly "I'd like some alone time, thanks.".. who then later tried to recruit me in her plan to 'kick up Chief and Rowan's relationship'.. maybe she's a yaoi fan? I could be reading into things, though. If she is, maybe she can recommend some manga for me.
Yet another resident moved in today..wow, this town is growing larger by the day! Everyone I talked to about it seems to be very happy about this, and most even said they wished it was even more crowded then it is. I guess we're destined for city-dom.
So..in a way, a lot happened today. Most of it was social, though.

January 26th
A friend of mine came over to visit today! She brought me a golden shovel, a peach, an apple, a coconut, a pear, and an orange. It was so nice of her!!! Thanks, Maria!
I went to visit her town, too. I got a haircut and dyejob; I now have bobbed white hair. I like it very much. 3nodding
Managed to catch a few fish for the museum. Also found out that Bud seems to want to move out... I'd be sad, but I barely know him, and he is frankly kinda weird.

Hung around with Melba a little bit.. she's nice, and seems to love to garden.. which is good, as the flowers in town seem to be dying lately under my care.. sweatdrop
I can use all the help I can get!
A strange tent popped up south of the civic center/post office.. I took a peek inside after getting the password from Melba, and found it a rather interesting shop. It was run by a fox who called himself Crazy Redd. I'll have to keep him in mind if he ever comes back, for now the 3,000 bell charge to join his 'club' is a bit steep. But he had some nice furniture, and even a portrait in one corner.
Through various presents sent in response to presents I sent out to neighbors, I managed to get myself both a leaf umbrella and a leaf shirt. I'm stylin! I also managed to nab a pair of goggles in the Able shop.. I just need a pilot helmet and a snazzy shirt to go with it..
