It was another sweep and clear mission, but this time, things were different. They have enemies as friends and new enemies. It reminded Shi of a moive he saw, but that quickly left his mind as a humen flood jumped on him. He kicked it off and shot it where the parasite hangs out. Shi instantly killed it. "I think I'm going to vomit. How can you stand the smell? Well besides that, how are we going to do this Dev? Split up or stay together?"

"We need to stay together. If we separate and one of us gets attacked, we'll have no back up." Galain was pretty sure splitting up now would be dangerous. The flood was a new enemy that he'd never fought before. He had no idea what they were capable of either. Galain turned the next corner to see an infected human with what seemed to be a massive balloon on it's back. It was a few feet in front of him and behind it was 3 more infected humans, minus the balloon hump. Then the oddest thing happened. The infected balloon man fell over and shivered. Galain was tempted to come closer ans examine it. Before Galain could be begin to approach, he was met with a concussive blast as the infected exploded. Resulting in Galain being thrown against the wall behind him surprising force. The wall cracked when Galain hit it and fell to the floor. When Galain had returned to his feet, the three infected from farther down the hall were running at him and had covered most of the distance between them. Having never let go of his AR, Gal was able to down two of them before the third was upon him. Galain hit the creature with his left elbow and crushed it's head. Galain loaded another clip into his AR and crouched to take a closer look at the creature. The flesh was soft and degraded. It looked like body was being broken down at an accelerated rate. Galain tried pushing his fist threw the body found he could with ease. Galain looked at Shindo as he came around the corner. "Well it looks like bullets are going to have little stopping power. The infected are decomposing, which means that only thing in them with any density is the bones. The bullets will rip through them with like paper. But it won't stop them without a hit to the head or major bone break." Galain stood up again and shook his head. "You're right they do smell."

Dev had only heard Gal's message when the doors to the ship had opened and mines and turrets started going off. The flood was ripping through their defense and taking shots at Dev and the covenant surrounding him. "Shi, Gal. It looks like we might be overrun so we're going to head back, I plan on taking the ship back though. No matter what it takes, I won't let the covenant or these stinking things have it. Good luck. Dev out." Dev threw his remaining grenades and grabbed a metal pipe off the wall and started hitting the flood with it. Letting the covenant retreat while he stayed there was a bit stupid but it seemed like the best idea, he told the elite to make sure Shi and Gal were safe as they left. Dev then ran through and started slashing with his knife and pipe, he thought (this is the end).

"It's going to take me weeks to clean this degraded skin off my armour." Shi said while shooting a flood in the head. He then Roundhouse kicked the another one in the head. Soon they ran into an elite, Shi was about to attack, but he remembered the truce. He put his fist down and said "Don't attack we have a truce." The eilte just stared at him, ignoring what Shi was saying. Then he started to transform into something. Then Shi relized the eilte was infected. He punched the elite in the face and knocked him down. Before the eilte fully transformed, Shi stabbed it in the face, stopping the transformation. "Gal, I can't keep fighting like this, I have my limits." Shi said while taking off his helmet to vomit.

Gal looked at Shi. He was looking fatigued and to tell the truth, Gal was feeling it too. Gal walked over to Shi and put his hand on his shoulder. "Come on Spartan. Let's go find Dev and get out of here." Gal quietly continued farther into the base only to find a dead-in at an elevator. "Looks like there is only one way down."

"Okay, let's go, but I doubt the elevator will be safe." Shi and Gal stepped into the elevator and headed towards their destination. Then all of a sudden a elite flood ripped the elevator hatch and jumped inside. Shi tried to pull out his gun, but it just hit him, making him drop the gun. Then Gal stabbed it and kicked it towards the door. Soon the the elevator stopped, and Shi got up and looked at Gal, then they both nodded their head. At the same time, they roundhouse kicked the flood making it destroy the door and fly into the hallway. "Fun ride, love the atractions in this place," Shi said while picking up his gun, "Well just perfect, the gun got smashed. Lead the way Gal, I can't fight those guys hand to hand well."

Gal looked around to try and find out where they were. Looking down the hallway leading away from the elevator. There was two arrows pointing in opposite directions. The one pointing left had the word "Armory" above it and the arrow pointing right had "Hangar" above it. Gal knew they would need more weapons to fight off the Flood and possibly the Covenant as well. But Dev also needed their help. "Well, either way you need a weapon, Shi." Galain handed Shindo his Assult Rifle with a full clip in it and the spare one he had. "I know this goes against my own logic. But we need to be in two places at once. I'll go either way. So which way do you want to go?"

"Your right, seperating is against logic, but then again Dev needs us," Shi said while reloading the rifle, " and Gal, bring me and Dev something nice. We might need it." Shi soon started towards the hanger. He carefully moved towards the hanger, with his finger on the trigger. Things were really quiet, too quiet for an infected place. Then Humen Flood crashed from the ceiling and nocked away his rifle, "Not again!" Shi yelled while recovering from the ambush. Three Flood stood tall and two of them jumped on Shi, but he Roundhouse kicked them away. Using the time he bought, he grabbed the Rifle and unloaded on the Flood. When he reloaded his last clip. The Flood laid still and even more lifeless. "Need to keep moving, gotta keep moving."

Dev was laying on the ground after defeating countless flood, he had a gash on his forehead dripping blood on the inside of his helmet. "Stupid flood making me want to bash their heads in even more." As Dev was saying this a flood jumped from the ceiling of the hangar and lunged down at Dev who rolled out of the way and tackled the flood beating his face to a pulp of nothing. Dev started hearing gunfire soon after this, he tried tapping his comm but it was busted. "Augh this is so annoying." Dev strolled over to the wall panel comm and started typing in sequences to activate the comm. "Lousy comm sequence, this day is not the best I've ever had. Come in this is Dev does anybody read me? Come in?!"

When Shi ran towards his desitination, he had an incoming call from another frequency. So he switched his frequency and heard Dev. "Dev, I'm making my way to you and Gal is getting us some toys. The locals treating you well?"

"Shi, glad to hear your voice, and the locals treating ok." As Dev said this he roundhouse kicked a flood that was trying to tackle him. "Shi, get here when you can and make sure to save some ammo. There is a lot of the pieces of garbage here. Dev out." Dev then started finishing off some of the flood that came and attacked him.

Galain was sprinting as fast as he could. His nerves were on edge and he was ready to react to any movement. The fact that he had not encountered anything made Gal even more worried. Afraid for a trap, Gal slowed down to a jog, and eventually to a walk. Gal strained his ears for any noise other then the faint pops of gunfire. The pops stopped and it was very quiet. The silence unnerved Galain even more then the lack of company. He turn a corner and came to the door of the armory. The door was ruined. It looked as though something had ripped it open while it was closing. Gal carefully approached the door, knowing full well that something with that amount of strength was very dangerous foe. With his back against the remains of the door Gal peeked into the Armory. The room looked as though it was torn apart. Entire shelves of weaponry had been thrown against the walls. Some of the lights flickering, but most were still functional. After a intial scan of the large room, Gal deemed it to be devoid of life, or bodies for that matter. He cautiously stepped into the room and looked around again. Not for enemies, but for tools of war.
