around 11 I got a text from my ex, Tim (I broke up with him about a year ago). Not about anything too significant, just that our one mutual friend was gay. He was wondering if I already knew and why he wasn't told earlier.
Anyway, we talked a little, then he asked if he could vent to me. So, I said sure, because I was just lying in bed watching Family Guy. He told me that he likes this girl (we'll call her M) and that he read Ben's texts (no sure how) and she apparently thinks she should be dating Tim, because he's her "social equal," but doesn't think they have chemistry. THEN there's this other guy (we'll call him N) who she kind of likes, but N does drugs and crap but M still kisses him and such. So, I gave him some advice blah, blah, and it gets to be around 12:30, and all of a sudden he says:
"Which reminds me amy: i really owe you an apology. and i know it's way overdue and late and doesn't amount to much, but i'm really sorry. i was a jerk to you, during the end of our relationship, and after we broke up. and it took me a looooong time to force myself to that realization because naturally i'm always right (not) and i'm so stubborn. i'm not saying you didn't have your faults, no offence we all do, but i was a big jerk, and i can't imagine the crap i put you through. sorry to open that up at 12:30 at night, but i thought there's no time like the present."
I started crying, partly because I was tried, but mostly because it meant a lot to me. I know Tim's not one to give apologies for nothing. Also, for years before we dated he was my best friend, but toward the end of our relationship/right after he was a real jerk to me and we didn't really talk or anything. It was really special to see that we can still be good friends again (obviously things are different, but nonetheless we're friends again), and that he trusts me enough to come to me about stuff like this.
K THAT'S ALL. I JUST NEEDED TO TELL SOMEONE.

He's getting better. He at least apologized.

She's nice, but I'm not really good friends with her.
I'm not friend's with N. He's some junior that I don't even know.
