As soon as Nicole and Lola were outside, which was deserted because students were at their classes, she tried to explain. "I'm sorry, i-it just wasn't strong enough to effect him and-"

"And you failed. And nearly gave us away." Nicole hissed, eyes flashing red. "That Justin boy is already suspicious of us, and it doesn't help that Alex is under the spell while he isn't."

"But Nicole, you're so much better at this! That was only my third attempt at trying to do a love spell, they're difficult!" Lola complained.

Nicole seemed to soften up, her eyes returning to blue. "You're right. I'm sorry. It just frustrates me that everything I do works, and meanwhile yours are pitiful. I know you can't help it, but still. I should just stick to doing it all myself."

Lola sighed. Half with relief, half with sadness. Nicole and her used to be so happy. Now look at us, she thought, look at
her. Deep inside, Lola was still that sweet little girl she used to be. She just followed what her sister did, so it made her seem creepy and mean....Becoming a vampire seemed to change Nicole a lot more then it did Lola.
