That is what I heard some woman say about Johnny Depp when she was asked "Who you'd Rather." The choices were Johnny Depp or Robert Pattinson. She said Johnny Depp is so 2005, and Robert Pattinson is what's hot now.
Ummm...is it just me, or is choosing the gross looking Robert over Johnny soley because he's "what's hot" ridiculous? If I had never met my boyfriend, and if Johnny D was single and available to me I'd totally go for it. If Rob was available to me I'd probably plug my nose and walk away. I wouldn't care how popular he was. I should also add that Johnny is way more talented than Rob.

Yes, it's bloody ridiculous. Her judgment is focused on good looks, which is a load of crass errors in logic.

*facepalm* I'm not a bog fan of Johnny Depp, but that's stupid. You could say that David Tennant is 2005 too, but that doesn't mean he's not hot.
Depp is a good guy from what I hear.

Yeah, I read somewhere that when he signs autographs he actually talks to his fans and asks their names and how they are doing. smile I had a friend who met him, and she said he was pretty nice to her.

Hmmm...It makes me wonder if she applies that mentality to other aspects of life. It kind of reminds me of the South Park episode where Cartman and Kyle get aids and everyone around them goes "Oh that is SO ten years ago." thoughout the entire episode.

Well, she sounded like a giddy Twilighter, so it's possible.
