So, I had starcraft 1 and I have through many LAN parties enjoyed it greatly with my friends, and even without LAN parties it was still quite enjoyable. Now however, in starcraft 2, what is this? Yes, LAN has become harder, no epic LAN option like in starcraft 1. While the game was good in itself, liked the campaign, loved the new look and units, still being horny to the gameplay, I miss the LAN parties of starcraft. In my opinion, that was what to me, there made starcraft stick out, a good game with good LAN parties.
So people, what is your opinion on starcraft, and its sequal, starcraft 2, and the two compared?

I enjoy playing Starcraft 2 more then Starcraft so far. It's basically like an updated version of Starcraft with a continuation of the storyline with several fixes to the game.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first Starcraft. General strategies boiled down to paper-rock-scissors and from all I've read they haven't really changed the gameplay much in #2. I find that idea disappointing and Blizz also really went after player's wallets...just one campaign in this game, and they're planning very fast expansions to give the other two campaigns? Ripoff...you may have me hooked into World of Warcraft for now, but I don't care one bit to get Starcraft 2.

  I don't understand why people b***h about the lack of a specific LAN option. What LAN party these days doesn't have an internet connection? You could just all join each other in a custom game.

Well, ye shall hear no complaints from me. I simply enjoy hearing my cousin scream out in surprise when I sneak attack his base. Hopefully these guys will just get over it or Blizzard will incorporate their demands in a future patch/expansion.

This is like my favorite game ever. I been playing since August. whee I've played the original too, but I never did multiplayer or bought the expansion.
I couldn't care less about LAN since none of my friends play.
