And that means it's NaNoWriMo!!! (NationalNovelWritingMonth)
the gist is to write a first draft of a novel in the month of november, that's right, 30 days to write 50,000words. Why do this? why am i telling you about this?
I'll tell you why, because i'm completely insane. oh, if you need a better reason: It's an opportunity to get that novel idea out of your head and finally down on paper, remember this is just a first draft we're talking about too, it doesn't have to be good, in fact they're usually pretty messed up. XD but in a good way, and at the end of it all you can say that you wrote a novel in one month.
smile the site for this crazy adventure is
NaNoWriMo Official Webpage!!!now don't get put off by the donation thing on the front page, you don't have to pay anything. But see? if you undertake this you have a huge mass of people online to support you even after your family and friends start to wonder what's wrong with you and why the only thing you do anymore is type.
If it sounds like i'm trying to bash NaNoWriMo rather than promote it then it's probably just a side effect, I know how draining it can be, but also how rewarding, i should, i've done it for the past three years. And if you think that it's too late to start, give it a go anyways! my first year doing it i didn't even know about NaNoWriMo until about this time of month and i still won*! And last year i managed 39k in the last four days of the month because i got caught up with school.
So if you're at all interested why not give it a go? at the very least you'll have that novel that's been sitting in your head started, and maybe that will help you to keep writing it and finish it rather than just collect cobwebs in your brain.

*you don't actually win a prize, but if you verify your final word count with the official site(sorry you have to register, but it is free) you get a snazzy certificate and of course even if you don't do that you get bragging rights.
wink PS.all genres are welcome, and you can do anything really so if you have a comic idea that you just want to get out why not novelize it first and then pull a script from it at a later date?
Also, sorry to the Supernovas, this isn't really comic based or related but I'm just putting it out there for the writers so they're aware, it really does help you to improve and think on your feet and learn to push past writers block and just produce a novel of pure undiluted creativity.
