Alright, I'm going to make this short and to the point. Ever since I started vending and exchanging I have wanted one item and one item only; Pale Marionette. I managed to achieve this goal in due time right about when it was selling for 9 mil.
Time passed and after hearing that it was easier to make more gold faster by having more gold to begin with, sold the item figuring I'd get it back when my gold had been doubled twice over. I sold it for around 12 mil and about a month was down to 7 mil in my account (minus investments) and in one swift day turned broke.
It wasn't until recently that I started actively trying to make "pocket gold" for various avatars and what not, always having to use the aid of gaia cash to get me off my feet first. Now however, I've renounced gaia cash and am on my own with 600k that I've made via a whole lot of Booty Grab and Vending and a huge amount of items hoarded away. My only problem however is that it seems no matter how much my items inflate over time, they do not inflate as quickly as Pale Marionette. So what do I do? Give up ever getting the item back or try and track down another item that'll rise like Pale Marionette did and trade for it?
Advice, and suggestions are not only welcome but wanted! I want to hear your stories of turn-around; your moments of personal triumph! How did you come back when it seemed so impossible? I thought I might be able to get another Highwire Belladonna before the year was out via vending (I think it'll inflate over time akin to Pale Marionette despite it's lacking of male figure poses) but itou seems that in one day all of summer's deflation has gone away and winter inflation is fast upon us. I'm not looking for the magical answer, just that ounce of hope that'll keep me going for Pale Marionette despite how hard it for me to ever get again!
Help!

It sounds like you have the right idea but are doing a combination of investing in the wrong things, taking losses in your vending and spree spending as I like to call it. The best thing to do is to sell off anything that you haven't used in a while, don't need or items that just haven't inflated quickly because they're not going to help your cause.
Next, you want to try to find an item or items to invest in that will guarantee a quick return in a short period of time. Since you're trying to catch up to the inflation of the Pale it might be best to invest in something that inflates just as fast like RIGs. Done right they can potentially double your profits within two months. As of this post Hell's Prison are only at 700k which is a fairly decent buying price.
