Do you ever have that? When sounds just inexplicably become dead to you for a while and you can't remember how to enjoy just singing or whatever. I totally don't get how that happens.
My little sister and her beginner guitaring fixed it, which is even odder. ******** why couldn't I be into science or that isn't all abstract and elusive.
Hello I probably don't make much sense today. My brain is all scrambled like.

Recorded music has been like this for me for a few months. I'm only finding joy in live stuff, and even then it's been pretty disappointed. I need to find a new musical obsession.

I think I just wrote my first whole song ever.
(Well, that wasn't about like looking for the meaning of life in the fridge or whatever.)
Weird.

Knowledge limits enjoyment, which is why I always try to do things I'm bad at.

I think knowledge limiting enjoyment is something you go in and out the other side of. First the mediocre dies but then you gain the ability to appreciate the stunning.

On a different note, that I overlooked before, modern physics is probably equally as abstract as music.
I got excited about music again the other day, with something similar to you. First, me and my girlfriend have been talking about collaboration rather than me just sampling her as I've done before. Then my little sister gets legitimately excited about the properties of recording to magnetic tape.
Also, I'm going totally hardware for a while. This doesn't effect most of you, but the majority of my work is done in the virtual domain with only a keyboard and mouse connecting me. Time to make mistakes again!
