Ooo, I'm a Terran player too! Mainly cause that's the race you play for the WoL campaign. Trying my hand at Zerg and Protoss too though.
Eh, you should play some Easy Co-op vs AI if you aren't that confident. Then once that becomes easy, go ahead to Medium/etc.
Or Custom vs AI; start with low difficulty then build up from there.
Would be a good idea to do some research; perhaps on the TeamLiquid Wiki to learn at least one build.
I am rather new to the multiplayer experience - I generally don't touch multiplayer on anything other than MMORPGs. I was really bad (although I knew the basics) until my friend taught me a simple build - and it imrpoved my game immensely just from learning that one build.
Then I went I watched a few youtube videos from
TheThinkingGamer. Check out the videos: "Using Autocast", "Mastering Control Groups", "Mastering Hotkeys", "Micromanagement" "Advanced Hotkeys" "Build Orders"/etc. And check other youtube vids using the search function; like 'Terran Build' or something like that.
Helped me a HUUUUUUGGEEE bunch.
