People surged in to the cafe' and library. It was the lunch rush! Hundreds of caffeine zombies and posh coffee house couples stormed the building. College kids rushed the bookcases and high school students started pouring their contents out on to tables. Kachi took this opportunity to snag the book and run!

She fumbled the book open and sped read as fast as she could go.
People scowled at her since she was plowing her way through.
Kachi kept running and reading until- WHAM! She ran into a column.
"Owwww...." She looked down at the book and let out a sigh. "Thank goodness I didn't hurt the book." She was a little over halfway already.

Dammit, where' she go?!
Shadow was lost in the surge of crowds.
" Get out of my way.."
I hate traffic...
Shadow leaped over the bookcase and landed in front of Kachi.
And the book.
He took the book in his hands, smiled in a win, and took a note out of a secret pocket in the spine of it.
" This was all I needed!"
He bent down and waved the small slip of paper in front of her face.
Then he got back up and threw the book at her.
"Little girls and Thier obsessions, ptfff."
He started to go to the door, his coat billowing al ittle from the wind of the customers coming in.

"W-Wait!!!" Kachi jumps up and bounces from someone's shoulder to someone's head and lands near the door. "Give that back!" All the cute curves of her face were gone. She was serious and ready for business. "Why do you need that?" She held the book to her chest as she glared at him.

Shadow never turned as he spoke, only getting closer to the door, the exit, the light at the end of the tunnel.
Except where he was going, it would probably grow darker.

She gave an evil smirk. "None of my business? I won't let you leave this place." She glanced to her left at a very tall man in a hoodie leaning against the wall who nodded to her then she glanced to her left where a slim girl in a blue baseball cap sat pretending to read a newspaper. "Why is it any of your's?" Her irises flashed red as she crossed her arms.

Shadow crossed his own arms too, in a defiant way.
He glanced at the three figures and dismissed the threat.
" If you really want to talk, let's move to a less...crowded area..."

She looked to the others and they all nodded discreetly. She waved at Nesai as she dragged the guy by the arm out the door. "We can go to my book shop. It's only a block from here."

It seemed to Shadow that she was clenching his arm way to hard, than was needed.

He forced her hands off his arm and said with a mean look," You don't have to hold on to me, I'll just follow you."
He shoved his hands in the pockets of his coat.

"Hmph!" She strode out into the melting snow and whipped on a pair of sun glasses. The others trailed behind silently.

I can't run now I guess..
Shadow followed behind, wondering why it was taking so long if the shop was just across the way. The slush made a scrsh scrsh as the feet plodded on it.
