For those of you who don't know NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. The aim is to write a 50,000 word novel by the end of November. You keep track of your progress online and if you finish you get the glory of being put on the winners page.
Anyway, I'm taking part this year and I'm sure many of you are too so I thought it would be nice to have a place in BURN to discuss how things are going, to ask for advice, to share your successes and to urge each other on!

@Eth: I think it's worth a shot even if you are busy. I've got all sorts of stuff going on (which means I'm falling behind in my writing!) But it's still fun c:
@Scarlet: I'm only on 2000. I had a major initial stick on what to write my story about. Plus I've been pretty busy. Still, a few more good days and I'll ~hopefully~ be right back on track

I took part this year. It was my first time and I finished with 50,001 words.... so yes I won and yes after it counted all up I did have exactly 1 over the word goal. Weird right? ''She thinks back to her experience during nano and can't even describe it into words- it was just so amazing to be put in words. She wrote everyday and got very behind but made it in the end. She smiled back just thinking about it. I'm difinetly doing it again next year.''

Congrats thomlina!
I failed badly. I only got to about 8,000 words.
This is the problem of doing it when you have a whole lot of University work as well... sweatdrop
