Stellar Dragon

Saedah shivered at the sight of her glowing slobbered on hand. Cringing as she burrowed her face into Lucrecia's body not wanting to admit the reasons why she was so adamant about not wanting a dragon.

"No. B..black...black...someone told me blacks were evil.." She murmured quietly for it was true..someone had warned her about black dragons. Even Gwea had been scared of them.

She had no idea what a rave was...but she would take what Lucrecia said to heart about never being at one. THey sounded scary anyway.

Lucrecia lifted an eyebrow, "I can't say that I know to much about dragons but this one seems sweet enough." She said, wondering if black dragons were a color or a breed, she felt that she should be studying more about dragons if she really wanted to know enough about them to be useful to her children, "Is that the breed of your dragon? Black?" She asked, it would be a little silly if this was what one called a black dragon since she wasn't really all green.

"Are you ready to come out from under the bed, Taavi?" She asked of the dragonness who was at least peeking out from under the bed a little more and a little more as time passed.

There was a rapid shake of the young dragons head indicating no. No she wasn't ready...she could still tell Saedah was nervous and it was rubbing off on her.

Saedah thought on it...and chewed on her lower lip before she shook her head, "N..no...she is a...a..A..s..ashkoort...?" She tested the word out on her tongue and it felt weird. "Yeah...that kind." THe girl managed as she was forced to think about what little she did know about her dragon.

"Sh..she is pi..picky eater too.."

"That's good, an Ashkoort is surely not a black dragon then." She said, she didn't think that she was wrong in this guess mostly because the little dragon... it just didn't seem evil to her. Instead it seemed as though it were just as scared of Saedah at the moment as Saedah was of Taavi. Really it was tough trying to get this pair talking, she'd had an easier time in getting her Daywalker son to be nice to Than then she did in getting these two to talk.

"Picky... eater? Is that so bad? Kliken and I are quite picky as well after all." She reminded her daughter, wishing the same wasn't true of Kliken but then again it was the reason that she had been contacted to take him in. So while she wished he could eat normal food a part of her was glad that she was able to take him in due to that special diet of his.

Saedah wasn't so sure about Taavi not being evil but she looked to Lucrecia with a wide eye'd look. Her? a picky eater??

"B..but sh..she takes bites out of food and then leaves it if she doesn't like it! It's such a mess." She protested, for surely Kliken and Lucrecia didn't eat like Taavi at all.

Taavi actually gave a sound like a chuckle...or laugh. As if she was humored by the fact that yes...she did like trying a BUNCH of new things. So far nothing had really appealed to her.

Lucrecia did her best not to giggle when she heard the dragon laugh, "Yes, well... what sorts of things has she tried so far?" She asked. Kuyoja seemed to cook something interesting dishes from what she had seen so far, "You might think about perhaps taking her food shopping, to help her find something she will want to eat instead since it seems that she doesn't care for what shes been fed so far."

The cornsnake girl thought on it...Taavi had tried all sorts of things...most of it which she ended up not liking. "Rice...meat...fruit..." She listed off. "....plastic..paper..." She continued sounding less than impressed by those items. ".....cardboard...the pillow..." She sounded down right embarrassed now.

Taavi on the other hand was just giggling away from under the bed.

Lucrecia giggled, "She sounds a lot like Tural, he seems to want to put everything into his mouth that he comes across food, friends, toys, and just random things he finds on the ground. His favorite thing to collect of late seems to be balls of tin foil for some reason." She explained, then smiled, "You just have to remember that she did just hatch so she is a baby, new to the world and as such she will put anything into her mouth."

She looked down toward the edge of the bed, listening to the way that the dragon was laughing away under there. She did her best to keep from laughing anymore then just her initial giggles as she didn't want to upset Saedah, "It sounds like taking her out for food would be a good idea. Perhaps one of those buffets I hear people have? That way she can try all manner a different food all at once."

Saedah looked horrified at the idea, take ...THAT? to a buffet?? She coud just envision the chaos. Half eaten food everywhere.

"...she'd make such a mess." The girl protested, not liking the idea at all. " I am sure the resturant would kick us out!" Saedah was quite the neat freak, that was probably the biggest problem she was having at adjusting.

A whimper come from under the bed, Taavi didn't like it when Sae raised her voice it seemed.

"Perhaps, but you would be there to wipe her off I'm sure." She said, with a smile, "I am sure they would have plenty of napkins there since they are used to serving a whole lot of people in a day." She could imagine them not having a lot of ways to help to clean off their patrons, "Besides, as her partner you do need to teach her manners to keep her from running amok in places like that."

She lifted a hand to rest it gently on Saedah head, stroking her hair gently, "Before all of that though I think the first thing you two should do is actually converse." She suggested, "That doesn't meant just Saedah, that means you as well Taavi."

A trilling sound, Taavi wasn't so sure of that idea and neither was Saedah to be honest. Talk? Talk about what? How much either of them didn't want to be near each other? Well..mostly Saedah didn't want to be near Taavi. The young dragon would of loved being near the corn snake girl if she was able to.

Saedah shrank back from the edge of the bed. Talking...it meant seeing the dragon face to face. Reaching for a pillow she burrowed her face into it trying to practice her breathing. Trying hard to ignore what Lucrecia was saying. It was making out as if the dragon was just a baby....

"....D..on't ..want to.." she muttered through the pillow.

Lucrecia lifted a hand to rub it against her face before she pushed up to her feet, stretching out, "Alright, it seems that me playing mediator isn't working out... so perhaps I will leave the two of you to do this on your own?" She said, taking a couple of veeery slow steps toward the door, as though she might actually be leaving to allow the girls to deal with one another on their own. It wasn't her number one plan but her first ideas hadn't seemed to work out to terribly well, had they?

Saedah looked up abruptly, eyes wide with the idea of being left alone here with Taavi. "Nopleasedon'tleavememama!" She said in such a rush she accidentally called Lucrecia mother instead. Her cheeks were flushed in embarrassment and she sank further into her coils.

"I.m..mea.n..pl..ease...I...don't leave..I..'ll try ..j..just don't leave me."

Lucrecia turned around at hearing herself referred to as 'Mama' instead of by her name and she gave a soft sigh, unable to leave now... instead she turned around, walking back over to sit on the bed once more, "You called me Mama." She murmured, reaching a hand over to stroke the girl's hair gently, "That is a very sweet of you, Saedah love." She could only wonder what Kuyoja Darling might think of Saedah calling her such a thing, not that she could say she minded at all being called that.

"I wouldn't actually leave, love... besides I am sure that Kuyoja Darling wouldn't be very happy with me if I did." She said, though that the girl said that she would try was a good first step, "Alright, you said that you would try so we are going to take it slow, just hold your hand out to Taavi, you don't even have to look at first if you don't want to."

Saedah reached for Lucrecia and went about coiling around her as if desperate to make sure she didn't leave her again. Hugging her so tightly that it was crazy, to her she always wanted Lucrecia to be her mother...ever since she first met her and Kliken. Her thoughts were interrupted when suddenly it was coming to the task at hand. Right..talking to the dragon. Swallowing hard she nodded her head and pressing her face to Lucrecia's shoulder outstretched her hand.

Taavi though had been listening the whole time, she was beginning to have a great respect for Lucrecia and liked her quite a bit. Giving a bit of a whine when she heard them speak and slowly poked her head out.

Lucrecia gave the girl a hug, stroking a hand over her back in an ever soothing manner, "Good, good... very good." She murmured, looking at the outstretched hand before she heard the dragon making a whining sound. The woman gave a smile, pursing her lips before she gave another trilling whistle, "Come on now, Taavi. Saedah is bring brave so its your turn to do the same." She told the little Ashkoort.

Taavi wasn't afraid of Saedah..she was afraid of Saedah freaking out. Seeing her break down crying and panic were things that really made the small dragon feel uneasy, unsure and worried. She knew somehow she was to blame for it all. Still she liked Lucrecia and...slowly she slipped out from under the bed to sit just a few feet before the pair. The small dragon looked on edge...as if she was ready to dive back under at any second. She wasn't sure what Lucrecia wanted her to do..but she was there now..sitting in front of them both.

The corn snake was also sitting but with her eyes firmly closed. Flinching every time she heard a scramble or scrap of claws on the floor.

Lucrecia watched the pair closely before she moved one of her hands to rest it on top of Saedah's hand, pressing against it so that she could lower the girl's scaly hand down to rest it on top of Taavi's head, "There we go, now everyone remain calm." She said in a soothing manner, "Calm and still for the moment, good... very good..." She murmured, making sure to keep the pair calm and keeping them both from panicking.

It was as if both girls had frozen upon Saedah's hand touching Taavi's head. Saedah held her breath as if she expected her fingers to be chomped off any second now. Taavi on the other hand looked like a frightened rabbit may with huge eyes her body trembling slightly with the effort to stand still.

When nothing happened Saedah peeked an eye open to discover the smaller dragon just standing there looking more terrified than she felt. Was Taavi afraid of her? That was a concept she found rather foreign, she was small and timid and hardly anything about her spoke volumes of aggressiveness.

She looked to Lucrecia with something like a worried glance before finally a minuscule of her body relaxed.

"N..now..w.what?" she managed to whisper almost afraid to break the calm of this surreal moment.

Lucrecia watched the girls as they starred at each other in such a manner before she gave a bit of a smile, reaching a hand out to scratch Taavi under the chin in a gentle manner, "Now? Well, lets see... the two of you are doing very well so far... so just continue with what your doing? There is no rush after all, nobody is going anywhere soon."

That Saedah was even giving in enough and allowing herself to touch the little dragon was a good sigh, "She is a good baby, isn't she?" Lucrecia murmured, "I have to say she reminds me a bit of Kliken when I first met him, young, little, and scared. Such sweet things, all of you." She'd never thought that she would have a living, breathing child before so finding herself with two of them as well as two young dragons to look after along with her Kuyoja Darling, it really was like being alive, really truly alive, again. It was a good feeling really.

"When the two of you are calm and ready to do so we can join the men folk again, I am sure they are wondering where we are." Lucrecia said after a time of the two starring at each other with Saedah resting her hand on the dragon's head.

Saedah swallowed and risked a glance at the smaller glowing dragon who only stared up at her with large eyes. She felt her small body tense ...and then she relaxed once enough time had passed and nothing serious or dire had occurred. The corn snake girl wanted her hand back though and slowly she slipped it back into her lap.

The small dragon blinked up at her her tail wagging slightly as if she had been a good girl and rewarded by not having the other girl scream. Things seem to have a nervous peace, the girl was still tense and the dragon unsure, but at least they were tolerating each others presence.

Looking to Lucrecia, Saedah swallowed and then went to snuggle against her. "Ca...can we go..back to papa now?"

Lucrecia gazed down at the girl that was snuggled against her before she reached down, gathering Saedah up into her arms easily, snuggling her close, "Your such a brave girl when you try, Saedah Darling, I am very proud of you and I am sure your Daddy will be as well." She told the girl, carrying her to the door, opening it up, "Come along Taavi-Love, lets go and see the guys, shall we? It seemed like Tural liked playing with you. He doesn't have a lot of dragons that he knows so I am sure hes happy to meet you."

Having Taavi go play with Tural would give Saedah a little break and allow her to breath, something that she might need after getting to know the dragon as she had.

Kliken and Tural, both standing in the kitchen helping where they could, turned to look to the side when they heard the sound of foot steps, "I-I think Mom is coming back." He told the teacher, kind of glad since he was always so nervous around Kuyoja when not in class... he just wasn't sure how he should be acting around the guy when they weren't in a classroom setting, it would be nice to have his Mom back to help out with conversation... or lack their of as it was a bit quiet.

Tural gave a huffing sound before he went shuffling forward to meet the three girls half way, tail wagging rapidly.

It was strange that Kuyoja was thankful for having a female figure around, though he and Lucrecia were 'dating' of a sorts their relationship was perhaps moving too slowly for his daughter who so desperately wanted a mother. But being as traditional as he was he couldn't move the relationship any faster. He looked over when Kliken spoke they had been working in the kitchen quietly together.

"I see, looks as if things have been setteled for the moment." He murmured before handing Kliken a pile of plates. "Do you mind setting the table? Then you can go play with Saedah."

The little girl was always so impressed with Lucrecia, she was so strong and not afraid of anything. She wished she could be like that, brave and strong. Even imagining herself as such seemed laughable and a more of a wistful dream.

Hugging Lucrecia tightly and shifted only slightly as they got closer to her papa and Kliken. "I really wish you could stay with us.... " She whispered into Lucrecia's ear, she would love to have Kliken sleep over and wel if Lucrecia slept over that meant things were moving in the right direction for her papa and her right?

Taavi was a bit ore quiet as they left the bedroom, her bounce however and energy soon coming back at the idea of playing with Tural. Spotting him she bounded forward like a dog on speed she circled around him purring and chirping before poking him with her nose and leaving a large lick across his face with spit that glowed.

Kliken nodded his head, "Yes, I can do that." He said, wondering if he should set a place for his mother or not. He knew that she had a special diet just as he did and as such didn't really eat out, only did so when they were at home. He looked the dishes over in a curious manner before he decided to set only places for three... though at the same time he didn't completely set his own place setting since, given what he ate, he wouldn't need silverware. So once he was done there were two complete place settings, a partial one, and nothing for his Mother. It looked a little strange but it was correct at least.

Once he was done he gave a small nod to his teacher and went to find Saedah and his mother, carefully stepping over the dragons who were already playing now that they had found each other.

Lucrecia smiled when she heard Saedah's words, "That is very sweet of you to say, Saedah love. I would enjoy that as well but we don't want to rush your dear Father." She said, giving a smile. Though... while she didn't want to rush him he could be a bit like a glacier, couldn't he? Would it really be considered rushing him to just... sort of... nudge him forward a little bit more quickly? Perhaps, perhaps not. She would see what she could do tonight she decided, smiling when she saw here son coming toward them, "Hello there Kliken, come to play with your friend? Did you behave for Kuyoja?"

The leech boy nodded his head, "Yeah, I set the table as he asked. Was I right in not setting a spot for you?" He asked, a little worried about it.

She gave a nod, leaning over to give him a kiss on the top of the head, "Yes, you were. Thank you, I will be sure to get something when I get home. I hope he understands, I always feel like such a bother being unable to eat with the rest of you." Though she supposed she could eat with them since she ate the same sort of meal as Kliken but at the same time that would involve a whole lot of explaining on her part. She really did need to sit Kuyoja down to talk with him about that... perhaps once she knew where she stood with him.

Setting Saedah down on her coils she gave the girl a kiss on the head as well, "Here, you two play for a bit while I got and talk with your Dad. Maybe I can see about giving him a little nudge in the right direction." She said, giving a smile before she walked to where she could feel the man at. She gave pause, watching him for a moment, ever enjoying being around the stoic man, before she walked toward him, "Mmm, did you miss me, Kuyoja Darling?" She asked of him as she got close, giving her best smile.
