Well, basically, I have had this idea for a long time, but I just don't know how to develop it. I have thought about it, altered it, revised it, and well.. it's not getting very far. I would hope to one day turn it into a novel.

My idea is based around the story of Joshua demolishing the town of Jericho.

THe main character is a boy called Joshua, funnily enough, He was born a twin, but his twin died at birth. His mother called his dead twin Jericho.

Now, Jericho is haunting Joshua through his dreams. She has watched her brother grow up, and wants him to join her in her world. The only way he can access this world is through dreaming. In his own world, he has always been the black sheep, his mum and dad are divorced and he wasn't popular in school. Joshua is torn between two worlds.

With my idea, I'm not sure if it's too vague, or if theres not enough to it. I just feel there's something not right, can you help ?

well, about the story of joshua and jericho. Joshua faught the battle of Jericho and her walls came tumbling down and Jericho was no more.

When Jericho and Joshua were to be born, Jericho was supposed to be first, but something went wrong and Joshua came out before Jericho and she suffocated. So, Joshua tore down Jericho's walls. I know its not the most obvious of connections, but I have altered this alot from my original idea. I dont know, I kind of like the name Jericho for a girl, every time I imagine the name Jericho, I think of a girl.. Maybe it's just me.
