So I'm not overly creative when it comes to naming things as most of you have seen sweatdrop Naming characters seems to be easy, but when it comes to the subject line my mind goes blanker then blank.

So I need some good ideas. What are some cool names for our subforums, our main forum, and those pesky guild announcements that I send out from time to time?

I'll give 500 gold for every good idea and 1000 gold for every idea that I use.

No limit to how many names you can enter. Keep the names PG-13 or under and follow Gaia ToS and keep the names reasonable as well. "Pirates invading Outer Space" is a cool name, but we can't go naming the prose section that cause then only the smart regular members know where to go.

As for the main forum, I think just The Hangout would be cool.

Writing: Prose > Writer's Lounge
Writing: Poetry> Poet's Corner
Idea Generator> The Classroom (or maybe "Critics and Inspiration")
Books Galore!> The Library (or "Book Club Headquarters"?)
The Writing Workshop> Writer's Workshop (or maybe just "The Lab")
Roleplay> The Stage
Lair of the Crew Members> Staff Lounge

As for the main forum, how about just "Welcome to (Insert Guild's Name Here)" or "The Main Hall"?

As for the names of new guild announcements, I can't really read minds, so I don't know what announcements you'll make in the future, but I suggest keeping them simple and to the point, actually. That way people have an idea of what they might be about to read.

Hmm, for Announcements why not name them "Happenstances" and the poetry section why not "Sonnets, haiku, and other randomness"

Okay, maybe not. These are a bit lame too : )

Those seem just a wee bit unrelated to the topics.

As for crew, I rather like The Hangout. AU is somewhat of an odd name to pick since not all fanfiction is AU, though I haven't a better one.

I'm totally all-for new names for forums, but I'm just a little bit uneasy about one thing - if the forums get all of these crazy new names, how the heck am I supposed to know which one is which? I really don't want to have to be a detective in order to figure out what needs to go where.

So maybe you could please please please keep what you're doing right now, which is putting what the forum is in parenths, next to the funky name?

Other than that, some of these names are pretty rockin'. I really like some of yours, Samurai. blaugh

Yeah we'll definetly keep the general idea of the subrofum in parenthesis (if it fits) or make it as blatantly obvious as possible what it is for smile
