 ☮✖☯✖ღ✖Ⱥɨҝϕ✖ღ✖☮✖☯Aiko's rather loud sobs soon became quiet hiccups as she calmed down, her grip around Adair never once loosening though. She turned her head to the side, looking out at the rain once the thunder had died down along with the lightining. Her face was stained with tears only on the right side of her face, her other side completely dry, but her bandages were falling more, and her closed left eye was becoming easier and easier to see. She sniffled, "A-A-Adair.... nice demon.... A-A-Adair.... no like...... other demon." she hiccuped, looking up at him with her eye, but she didn't move her head from against his chest.

 "No I guess not." He murmured, running his fingers through her hair with one hand, holding her with the other.

☮✖☯✖ღ✖Ⱥɨҝϕ✖ღ✖☮✖☯Aiko sniffled again, "Th-thank you." she whispered, closing her eyes and not moving, just wanting to stay like this forever, but she knew that that wasn't possible. He was a demon, and she was an angel, they were supposed to be enemies, yet they were embracing each other. It didn't make sense to Aiko as to why she felt safest in Adair's arms rather than any other creature's, or as to why he hadn't already left or just left her alone in the first place, but at the moment she didn't care.

"Of course," Adair answered. For once he was completely at peace, no crazy thoughts clouding his mind, no worrying that he might be insane. Being with Aiko made him feel so happy, like nothing could go wrong. By now, strangely, Adair couldn't bear the thought of parting with Aiko.

☮✖☯✖ღ✖Ⱥɨҝϕ✖ღ✖☮✖☯Aiko eventually fell asleep to the gentle sound of the rain hitting the forest floor, and the warmth of Adair's arms around her. Her arms loosened around him, but her fingers were locked together so her arms didn't fall from around him as she slept.

Adair smiled, leaning back and relaxing a little. He studied Aikos face as she slept, so beautiful and peaceful.

☮✖☯✖ღ✖Ⱥɨҝϕ✖ღ✖☮✖☯Aiko's bandages had fallen off completely as she slept, and in their place, a recently recieved scar had traveled along Aiko's face, from the center of her forehead to her ear, crossing over her eye. Even thought she'd had gotten the scar days ago, the pain and infliction of the scar was still lingering over her face.

Catching the bandages so they wouldnt get wet, Adair sighed. Somehow she managed to look even more beautiful with the scar. He gently traced it with a finger, wondering what or who had done this.

☮✖☯✖ღ✖Ⱥɨҝϕ✖ღ✖☮✖☯Aiko's eyes flickered when Adair touched her skin, the feel of his skin against her's gave her a cool shock. She stirred a little bit, her right arm laying across his lap with her hand hanging off the edge while her head and left hand layed in the middle of his lap as she sighed contently.

Adair sighed happily, loving having her so near. It was like a high, better than anything hed ever experienced. He wondered why that was, but shrugged it off. Now wasnt the time to question... fate?

☮✖☯✖ღ✖Ⱥɨҝϕ✖ღ✖☮✖☯After a while, Aiko's eyes opened slowly and she looked up at Adair. She sat up and looked around, rubbing her eyes and yawned, "Wh-where... A-Aiko at?" she asked, still half asleep, then she gasped, placing a hand over her scar gently and looking at Adair.
