Anoki had been having a good day and decided to try singing as Ann, his Ninetails transformation. It had been hitting him hard lately that he was neither gender as Anoki for some reason, and Caellum's strange looks all the time when he dressed up and did things wasn't really helping. And so the young Anoki had wandered into the forest, heading to the waterfalls, as Ann. He missed getting to float all over all the time, but getting to swish his tails around more than made up for the loss of levitation.
As Ann walked through the forest, she listened carefully to the birds that were singing their songs and smiled happily, able to identify many of them by just their songs now. She paused by a particularly tall tree and felt the rough bark against her skin. the tree was so tall and rough, she couldn't help but imagine how old it was and how many things it had seen. With a strange stirring in her heart, she opened her mouth and began to sing.
The song was wordless, for the most part, but the variance of her tone and volume as she walked made up for the lack of them. Ann was lost in her own little world, smiling and oblivious to the world around her.

Why the fack was he out here? Just listening to the song birds annoyed him. Don't get Nico wrong, they were pretty. They were just a constant reminder that he was in the middle of a forest. Lost in the middle of a forest at that. With his hands in his pockets, the charmander flicked his tail. Obviously irritated, the boy sat on a rock. As he listened to his surroundings he learned that it was hard to stay upset here.
Nico leaned back, resting his hands on the rock and looking up at the sky. The sun rather bright, he nodded his head down so the sun glasses atop his head would fall over his crystal blue eyes. Now able to look at the sky with out being blinded, Nico watched the clouds. It really was peaceful out here. With the sun warming his face he slipped his eyes closed, using his ears to listen to the surroundings.
If it weren't for an unknown voice in the mixture of the forest sounds Nico probably would have fallen asleep where he sat. The male blinked his blue orbs open and then glanced around. Curious as to the owner of such a voice made the boy stand and venture into the forest further. As he walked he let his tail hang and move as it wanted. He tucked one hand into his pocket while the other held onto the strap going across his chest.
When he finally came across a ninetails, Nico ducked behind a tree. He watched the ninetails and looked her up and down. The small mounds on her chest told Nico that the ninetails was in fact a girl. The charmander hummed in thought, never having met a girl. Instead of dwindling on what they were like, he stepped out. She seemed friendly, and there was only one way to figure out if she was or not. He walked in front of her and waited for her to notice him, if she noticed him. There was a good couple feet between them, so she should notice him in the time. If not then he would just be run into, which would be embarrassing.

Ann's song had taken a turn that made it sound almost like Gregorian Chants, but more melodic than harmonic, and without the words of the monks as she walked. It was an unintentional choice of melody, but one that suited the melancholy mood she found herself falling into. The forest seemed quiet today and she missed running into her friends while out for a walk. Or a float as was usually the case.
The ninetails female was oblivious to the sights and sounds around her as she walked, a soft smile on her face until she caught sight of the charmander that had appeared before her. A hint of pink flushed across her cheeks as she realized he had probably heard her song and she paused in her walk as she tilted her head in embarrassment. At first, words failed the young female who was not yet accustomed to both the womanly body she now wore or the personality she was developing to suit it. With a brilliant smile she extended a slender hand in greeting, "My name's Ann - sorry if my singing...disturbed you."

The male was happy she'd stopped before running into him. It would have been an all over embarrassing event for both of them if she hadn't stopped. As she tilted her head, Nico tilted his. The smile he soon got caused him to blink and pull his head back a little. He felt as though he would have been blinded by the brightness had he not been wearing his glasses. A small smile tugged at his lips as she extended a hand. One hand reached to shake her hand, firm but not crushing. The other moved to his face and pushed his sun glasses back onto his head. "Nice to meet you, Ann. I'm Nico."
Once he felt his they're hand shake had lasted long enough, he pulled it back. Nico wrapped his fingers around the belt that went across his chest and let his other hand drop down to his side. With a small shake of his head his smile grew in the slightest. "No, no. It didn't. I liked hearing it." Which wasn't a lie, he had simply stepped out because after seeing where the voice was coming from, he wanted to meet the girl.
Now that he'd met her he didn't know what to do. He blinked, realized that it was probably a stupid decision to come out and meet her, if he didn't know what the hell he was doing. "Ah, sorry to disturb you and your singing." He started to walk backwards, unsure if he should stay. The charmander froze, he was still lost and wouldn't know where to go. "OH! Do you know where you're going? I'm sorta lost.." His cheeks tinted at admitting this and his free hand lifted to scratch his cheek.
