b/c he is just badass and doesn't need abunch of silly gizmo-gadgets to get his way around or to kick-a**.
Instead he uses things around him to beat the hell out of you- like an axe. or a pipe. or he'll just break your fingers.
not to mention the coolest quote ever is "MY FACE, GIVE ME BACK MY FACE! >8C" When some mobsters pull his 'mask' off.
2.) Cat Woman- She's pretty and loves cats.
3.) Poison Ivy- why else? Her kisses are full of poison and shes the coolest hippie ever.
