Kithara was scared, somehow, someway, she had lost both her parents, Ixen and Yuki. Where were her brothers and sisters? Where was she? She had been with them during a traveling session. Cruor was falling apart so her parents had decided to try and see if they could find a home for them. Well, here she was, lost. Kithara had been paying attention! Until Tenma pointed out a butterfly, then she became distracted for just two seconds. Now here she was, lost in some meadow. Where was Mommy Yuki? Daddy Ixen? Uncle Sin? Where were they?!
Her red eyes scanned the area, shoving fear from her mind. She needed to stay calm. She had seen her aunt Unia freak out and stutter and just dig herself into deeper holes, but Kithara would not. She was gentle and loving, but not the kind to freak out or feel helpless. No, she could care for herself. Ixen had taught her how, while Yuki attempted and always ended up failing. The mother figure of her two male parents always seemed to fail at trying to make sure his babies learned to live on their own, to attached to want them to leave ever.
Okay, so where was she? In a meadow. What could she find, maybe see any land markings? Could she smell her parents or siblings? Could she see anyone moving about?
No.
"How did I get myself in this mess?" She whispered softly, her naturally soft voice letting out a low sigh. She know knew how Tenma felt half his life.

Verdrai wasn't like Kithara. Not at all. The kit never had a parent, or a brother, or a family. Nothing. Verdrai was used to it. Of course he was. If he'd suddenly grown parents, he'd actually be pretty creeped out. They weren't a part of his life. Not anymore. They'd never have that chance anymore. They should have been there earlier.
He shook his head a little, clearing it, continuing to walk. He was looking around when he noticed a kit sticking out against the meadow, red and purple against green. God, did she stand out. She also looked freaked out, and Verdrai couldn't help but go over to her and sit down. Maybe he could laugh, maybe he could help - either way, he was assuredly going to do something today. He made his way over quickly and sat in front of her, staring at her easily, unafraid or even slightly concerned.
"Hi." He smiled. "I'm Verdrai. You look lost!"
His muzzle darted out and he gently nosed her, closing his eyes. "I can help, if you want. Who are you looking for? Or what are you looking for? And at least you aren't alone anymore if I can't help. Oh! You should call me Ver. Verdrai is a mouthful. I don't even know where I got the name from!"

[Kithara jumped when a fox appeared before her, tail moving between him and her before she realized it was another kit, her sized, maybe a little bigger. Her tail lowered, red eyes scanning the other before smiling slightly. Unlike most of her family she actually enjoyed meeting new people. Her ears flicked as he rambled, trying to pay attention but her panicked thoughts kept getting in the way. She did catch his name, smirking gently.
"Ver? Nice to meet you, I'm Kithara." She didn't mention a nickname, no one had ever given her a nickname before.
She calmly eyed him, not even considering he could be a threat, instead glumly lowering her head. Her parents... he couldn't possibly help her find them... Could he? She looked upwards, ears pulling against her head as her soft voice answered: "I lost my family... They went ahead of me and I can't find them."
