No im not asking how do you do it lol....

I'm wondering what people think and how they count their ev's when ev training?
I tend to worry about defense and then one main focus of att be it spc att or physical att. I look I tend to not add to much to their best att if it is high enough already. Also I never count the stats on paper or program I usually finish them quick most probably would say this is bad but it usually turns out good.

How bout you guys how do you train your pokemon?

Lots of math and I take lots of metagame statistics into consideration for every 4 EVs invested into any particular stat; I don't particularly like 252/252/4 EV spreads if they can be avoided.

I use action replay to keep track of EVs and IVs, that way I can just keep killing things and use a code to check every so often. Not much math.

btw nice emphasis on the YOU!

Pokéaids + Power item + 2 EV yield pokémon = 21 fights
21(2(4+2)) = 252

i use the PP. in the Attks to keep count.
as long as the attk is 100 acc then i just use the pokeradar to get a specific poke if in grass and spam. thus i memorize the cry and if something else comes up i just run and refresh.

and as Kyrenx said, i also avoid 252/252/4 spread
unless its a sweeper
i just go for maximum speed requiered to out speed same based pokes and such, and same for the rest. all depends on the pokes utility or role in a team

^^ This. Usually with a power item against a 1 EV pokemon. Because 5 at a time is much easier to keep track of. I usually max out the stats (Being the Broom Trainer I am, I like to Sweep biggrin ) unless I'm going for something more complicated. I'll occasionally use the Vitamins, though I more often just train the pokemon from a low level. Psyducks are my best friends when it comes to Special Attack.

I tried that back when I was learning about EVs. I started writing down tally marks on notebook when I realize that my pokemon were not getting the full EVs like I thought they were.

As for spreads, I will occationally do the 252/252/6 just because it's easy, but I also tend to go with 240/240/30, or 200/200/110, depending on what I'm training it for.
