I'm so, so excited.
Some of you may recall that I moved a moth or two ago. I just met some of the neighbours, and I met one girl in particular. She's 13, and she invited me inside. I didn't want to seem rude, so I accepted. She showed me her room, and her collection of faerie books. I mentioned casually that I was very interested in the fae, and she nodded. We sat down and she told me about how much she loved faeries and how much she believed in them. She then told me about how her sister would wake up in the night and tell her, wide-eyed and frightened, that she had talked to faeries. I was surprised at this, and I'm beginning to wonder if the Brownie or Piskie I saw in my room is not the only fae that lingers in my new neighbourhood.
Any thoughts, opinions, or comments are welcomed.

Wow you are very fortunate to have found a girl so interested and believes in the fae. I live in a town where it is very skeptical and evil to believe in such things. Maybe you and your neighbor friend has what is called a faery connection. A strong friendship might grow from this encounter with both you and her, and the fae.
Funny story, but I got yelled at by two young boys mom because I taught them about faeries, and now they have a firm belief in them. lol Funny how things like that work out.

That's too bad no one accepts the fae. I realize just how fortunate I am to have someone who believes in them. But I'm concerned about her sister. I mean, this poor girl wakes up and is frightened by the fae in her room (I assume they sneak into her room). I'm not sure if I should try to help her or something, and even still, I don't know what I should do to try and help her.

I don't really know how you can help, I mean, there's not much you can try without offending the fae, and trust me: you don't want to do that. *sigh* I'm still trying to deal with my own problem without offending them... The most I can suggest is salt on her windows and in front of her doorway, but even that's not going to work if they don't mean her harm. Maybe she just needs someone to explain them to her?

A possibilty. I certainly don't want to offend the fae, cause that won't end well on my part or hers. I suppose talking about it may be the only way, maybe inform her to leave out some honey on her back step or something.

*nod nod* If they're trying to scare her but not hurt her, or they're scaring her unintentionally, they may just be playing or trying to be friends, so teaching her how to become their friend might help. Though if they are trying to hurt her on purpose the salt should help... ^^;; Which is actually why it doesn't help me a lick.
