June 1st, 1942

Our dear sanctuary has been blessed with yet another who requires our aid. A young man, about twenty years of age. He spoke English, in the dialect of Great Britain. Upon recieving him, my first notice was to the wounds on his shoulder. They were of animal origin, but nothing that I have seen in the woods. I pray to the Heavenly Father that he does not take this young man yet, not when he has given so much to fight in this dreadedful war. He was dress in the field uniform of the British Armed Forces, and that he was Catholic. He carried a crucifix around his neck, a variant we see in most of the Irish and Scottish churches. More later as our patient recovers from his wounds.

Buonanotte,
Father Emilo Ravenna
