I don't know if anyone heard about this yet... but on the night of October 28th, Takeshi Shudo passed away due to a hemorrhage of the brain at the age of 61. You might be wondering who Takeshi Shudo is. Well, he was the chief whiter for the original pokemon television series and he wrote the scripts for the first three pocket monster feature films. He was also the creator of Lugia.
My heart goes out to his family and friends. crying

Oh my goodness!
Well, perhaps many would not feel affected in any way. But I for one as a fan of poke mon and also an aspiring ECE teacher, I am heartbroken. Such a great artist that has captured my imagination as a child and those after me to today! I truly grieve, for his ideas will live on and always be valued.
That's what I would like to share. That he has changed the course or creativity and imagination of children EVERYwhere. And on behalf of those small growing minds, his unique scripting and ideas will be missed for those that were yet meant to be that is now not...
Thank you for sharing. I am really touched and taking a moment to reflect.

Aww! cry
I mean, sure the original television series was terrible... but it was terrible in an amazing way! Those were the characters I could actually find some respect for. That was when the show actually had amazing moments like the island of giant pokemon and when they got trapped underwater in a ship! I will never forget those adventures and they are something the newer shows completely elude! (What does Ash do now? Travel from town to town, raise pokemon and set them free. No mystic islands, no extreme catastrophe worthy of multiple part episodes, nada. =/)
And Lugia? That's just something amazing...
Although he may not have been well known during our childhoods, he will be missed.
