Run with me to the oceans edge,
I know you've awaited the waters
To wash away the sins. hold tight
to my hand, and run with me.
Crashing at your feet, do you feel it?
The power of powerlessness, await
the sunset with me, hold tight to me.
Winds whispering you a lullaby, please
don't close your eyes, I'd hate for you
to miss this. Soon the sky will explode,
spilling paint of brilliant colors, watch!
It's starting, the sun crawls slowly down
emerging itself into the sea. Halfway under
now, isn't it beautiful? Rise with me.
Stand up as the waves and winds
intensify, soon the moon will dance
upward. A portrait is painted
within the clouds, wisps of pink and
purple are scribbled in the sky.
You lay down trying to decipher
as if there was a riddle, hidden.
All the answers to life, emerge
here. Like pollution surfacing from
the sea to land, ask your question
and you will find the answer.
Peace will fill your body,
weightlessness, freedom.
Run with me, from the oceans edge.
Our time is finished here,
Like the sun, we will disappear.
Returning when peace has fled,
run with me back to normalcy.
Running from the oceans edge
following the silver beams,
quick before the sun awakes.
I haven't gotten much feedback in the arena on this poem; hoping for some here.
