Welcome to THE Carnival Logic Puzzles!

To be eligible to win prizes, you must buy a ticket to THE Charity Christmas Carnival (only 500g before the event begins, then cost goes up to 1000g) and solve at least one of the Puzzles below.

Clever Elves who solve at least one of Puzzles will be entered in a raffle to win a
November 2007 Thank You Letter containing Wild Things or Autumn Glory!

Congratulations, The Elegant Blue Angel!

I will choose a random Clever Elf by counting all correct puzzle solutions and then using Gaia's Random Number generator to pick a number to win. So the more puzzles you solve, the more chances you have to win!

Each logic puzzle will get progressively harder. You may PM me, AnnElf, about them as often as you like. This is not "first answer = only answer" situation. I definitely believe in second (and third and so on) chances! Please keep your answers in the order given in the introduction.

Logic Puzzle # 1

Three elves are running three rides with three different backdrops. In which order do which elves run which rides with which backdrop?

Ellie ran the Carousel
Mary painted the Forest backdrop, though that might not be for her ride.
Ellie's ride was before the Ferris Wheel
The Carousel was next to the ride with the Desert backdrop.
Joseph ran the Ferris Wheel with the Mountain backdrop
The Roller Coaster was before the Carousel.

Logic Puzzle #2

Four elves sell snacks from a given color of cart at one of the gates. In which order does which elf open which color of cart at which gate to sell which snack? Please keep your answers in that order. Thank you!

The Yellow cart was EITHER at the West Gate OR selling Hot Dogs, not both.
The cart selling Cotton Candy was opened some time before the Blue cart opened.
Silvia sold Popcorn, not Funnel Cakes.
Harry's cart was opened just after or just before Carrie opened hers.
The Blue cart was at the East Gate.
The Cotton Candy cart was opened just after or just before Hot Dogs cart.
Riordan's cart was at the South Gate, not the North Gate.
Harry opened his Red cart at the West Gate.
The Green cart sold Cotton Candy.
The cart at the East Gate was opened just before or just after Harry's cart.
The Cotton Candy cart opened some time after Riordan opened his cart.

Logic Puzzle #3

#3: Five elves ran games at THE Carnival. Which Elf gave out which Color of which Prize from which Container for which Game?

Charlie made the hammer for the Strong Man game, but may not have run that game.
One of the containers were Nets hanging from the top of the game booth.
One of the prizes were Green, but not necessarily the Jewelry.

Kim ran the booth between the Blue prizes and the game with Balls for prizes.
Balloons were given out next to the prizes in Bags.
The Speed Ball game came some time before the prizes in Boxes.
Jasmine's booth was next to the one giving Orange prizes.
The booth giving Plushies for prizes was next to the Ring Toss game booth.
For prizes, the Balloons were next to the Toys.
The booth giving Orange prizes was between the Water Race game and the Speed Ball game.
The booth between the prizes in Crates and the Shooting game did not give out Toys as prizes.
The Speed Ball game was next to the Boxes of prizes.
Orange prizes were between Kim and the Silver prizes.
The booth between the Ring Toss and the Blue prizes did not give out Pink prizes.
The Silver prizes were between Blossom and the Crates.
Prizes in Bags were between those in Baskets and Orange prizes.
The booth between the Boxes and Sue did not give out Silver prizes.

Each elf from a different country prepared a traditional food, fruit treat, and dessert served on their own color of dishes. In which order did which elf from which country serve which food, which fruit and which dessert on which color dishes?

The Green dishes were used some time before the Silver dishes.
The Australian elf served next to the one using Blue dishes.
Sugar Elf served Raspberries, not Grapes, with Fudge for dessert.
Strawberries were served sometime after foods from Germany were served.
Precious Elf was next to the Pastry desserts.
Vegetables were not the food served between Cherie Elf and the Strawberries.
Honey Elf was from Japan, not Britain.
The elf from Germany was between Angel Elf and the elf from Australia.
Strawberries were not the fruit served between the foods Rice and Pancakes.
Sweetie Elf was between Strawberries and the Gold dishes.
Lime fruit was served with Meat Pie, not Noodles.
Fudge was served between the Green dishes and Angel Elf.
The elf between Sweetie Elf and the one from Japan was not from Canada.
Pastry desserts were served next to Raspberries.
Pancakes were served with Cobbler dessert on White dishes.
Strawberries were served between the Green plates and the elf from Japan.
Cobbler was served next to Cranberries.
Bananas were served with Ice Cream for dessert, not Cake.

Logic Puzzle #5

Four elves are building a snow man. Each elf added a part of the snowman (eyes, mouth, nose, arms), an article of clothing and an ornament of a certain color for the snow man to hold. In which order did each Elf work to add the snowman part, clothing and color of ornament?

Ebony went next to the elf adding the Stones for Eyes.
Ivory hung a Silver ornament on the snow man, not Gold.
The Coat was added some time before the Silver ornament.
The Carrot Nose was added by the same elf who added the Mittens, not Boots.
Violet worked between the elf adding the Stone Eyes and the elf adding the Sticks for Arms.
Ebony worked next to the elf adding the Hat.
The Red ornament was added by the same elf who added the Coal Mouth.
The Carrot Nose was added between Ivory and the Stone Eyes.
Scarlet added either the Stone Eyes OR the Green ornament, but not both.
The Coal Mouth was not added by the elf between Violet and Ebony.
