It had been a day like any other, since the delcatty had turned human. She would wake up, work in her studio for several hours, take a break and then at precisely three o'clock would walk down the road to the small soup shop that had been where she found her beginning in this new life.
Entering the shop, she would always seek out her favorite empty booth in the back corner that was both quiet and offered a window with a good view to the outside world. She would order the same thing every day- a pot of her favorite jasmine green tea- which she would sip absentmindedly as she stared out the window, almost as if she were waiting, or watching for someone to come.
Today though, her life would change....

It was rather cold and blustery day, something which, when she hd been a pokemon, she never would have noticed, but now, still being a stranger in this unfamiliar skin, she felt the temperature keenly. It was little things like this which caused her to regret even more te new state of her life.
Bundled up tightly, even within her own studio, Leia did her best to continue on like normal. She had to. Because today could be the day when ~he~ returned to her. She lived for that hope, though with each passing day, it got harder and harder to believe.
Three o'clock seemed to come slowly, but when it did, Leia hurriedly tossed on a few extra layers before darting out the door of her apartment and rushing to Reversed.
A gust of warm air met her as she pulled open the door and the bell chimed a signal and welcome. A slight smile curved her lips. No matter what, coming here always felt a little bit like coming home.

Quickly spotting her favorite table, uninhabited and just waiting for her, she slinked through the crowds and claimed her favorite spot.
It seemed that more and more poepe were finding their way to this small soup cafe, which was at once both good and bad. Good in that it meant there were more like her (perhaps the one she missed most would be among them) and bad in that they all congragted here, so perhaps one day soon this particular table would no longer be hers.
The staff here was busy, so instead of Rochelle coming by with her usual order, a new face- a new waiter- came by to take her order.
Leia paused for a moment after ordering her customary pot of tea. She had heard whispers and rumors of strange things coming with the soup, but it was a cold day, and she was rather hungry. It couldn't hurt to try.
"I'd also like some soup, hot, if its not too much trouble."

After the waiter nodded and scurried off to get her order, Leia sighed, resting her cheek on one hand and looking out the window. ~He promised me. He will show up, he's never broken a promise. He will.~ She watched the people passing by, wondering where they were going, if they were meeting or looking for someone, if perhaps, somewhere He was on his way to her.
The sound of her tea being set on the table snapped Leia out of her reverie. Body on autopilot she started to fix up her tea, then she noticed the soup.
Seeing a large egg with a flaming tail hanging over the side of the bowl, she was instantly wary. She knew what the egg was, of course, but it just couldn't be for her. She didn't order such a thing. There must've been a mistake. She looked for the waiter who had served her, but he was nowhere to be found.

With a sigh, and much internal angst and debate, the delcatty conceded defeat. Though it was not without some reservations, she knew she would end up taking the egg. After all it wasn't the eggs fault, and she just couldn't leave the poor defenseless thing.
Her daily routine interrupted, she decided that enough was enough, and it would be better for her to just get back to the Loft.
With a start, she realised just how much would have to be done to the Loft to make it habitable for a child as well.
Placing money on the table to cover the cost of her tea and soup, Leia picked up the egg wrapping it carefully in the folds of her coat to protect it from the elements, and left the shop to return home.

Entering the Loft, Leia looked around. What was just enough for a single artist probably wouldn't do, now that she had a little one to take care of. She sighed. Well there was no use for it now, but there was no way she wanted to move, at least not yet. She pondered her options as she carefully set the egg down on her couch, surrounding it with blanketys, trying to warm it back up and to keep it from rolling anywhere... or something to that effect.
"Now stay here and be good alright?" She murmured softly, then shook her head. It was just an egg, so why was she talking to it? Its not like it could understand what she was saying anyway.
Her first stop was the kitchen. She bustled about removing objects that would be unsafe for a cild to handle. The living area was fine, but she needed to move a few things around to make room for what would become the child's room. Dragging the furniture around she created a nice space, surrounded by screens that would make an acceptable room for when the egg hatched.
Her studio.. well, there was no way she was willing to change that, so it seemed that the best thing to do would be to get a very sturdy lock for the door. She made a note of it on her shopping list and reminded herself to get it tomorrow, along with everything else she would need.
But for now, she was exhausted. Time for her to gather the egg up and take a well deserved nap.
