"Tre ss sa?"
These words and the fact that Kalia found half of her favorite herbal plants missing from her garden along with the disappearance of a certain shadow.
The egyptian elf was a patient woman and Altressa hasn't made her lose her rare temper yet, but her plants stolen from her garden was close to making her mad.
"Altressa, no cheesy puffs for a month!"
Altressa herself now creeped behind her host, annoyed that there would be no cheesy puffs for a month. Next time the shadow decided that the rosemary and mint bushes would be let alone. Her cheesy puffs were at risk if she did make Kalia mad.
Kalia looked around her favorite herbal shop, looking for mint and rosemary to replace what her shadow had consumed.

"So what herbs did you need for that spell, Howl?" Loki asked, looking around the shop. His shadow, Kelani was sitting on his shoulders, her constant companion, the albino shadow-cat, had made its nest on the fae's head. Something he didn't seem quite comfortable with, though he wasn't quite willing to distrub the sleeping shadow.
"Thyme, rosemary--" The wizard went silent for a moment, before turning to grin at Loki. "Why are you so interested?" he asked. He too, was wearing a shadow. Puff clinging happily to his host's head.
"Just curious." The fae pried Kelani off his shoulders, and carefully placed her onto the floor. The shadow seemed just as happy there.
"Kel! Kelani!"

Clearly bored with her host quietly looking at several rather tasty plants, no, must not think of plants as tasty. Altressa did not desire to be without cheezy puffs for more than a month.
The shadow wandered around, but tilted her head to the side at the sight of two shadows like herself. She ran over as fast as she could, wanting to make friends to play with.
Kalia was musing over getting several plants of rosemary and mint. She was calming down though still refused to let her shadow have the puffs to make a point.

"I see the rosemary over there," Loki said, pointing to the plant in question. But then he had caught sight of Altressa and smiled. "Look, Kelani," he said with a smile. "Looks like you guys can make a friend." He pried Puff off of his cousins head, carefully making sure the shadow didn't pull any of Howl's hair to avoid a tantrum.
Kelani beamed up at her host before setting eyes on Altressa. "Kel! Lani!" She chirrped happily, before making her way over to the other shadow on unsteady legs. "Ni? Lani! Kelani?" she tilted her head. Seemed like she liked Altressa already.
And Puff was quite as pleased. "Pu!" he said happily. "Pupu uff!" His wings flapped and tail twitched in obvious excitement.

Kalia looked up at the mention of the rosemary and glanced at the two boys. She remembered Howl from his birthday party even though she hadn't spoken to him.
She smiled at the sight of the other shadows, thinking Allie could use some friends to hang around.
Altressa looked at the two shadows curiousily. "Al lt tress sa? Al al!" She liked Kelani and Puff. They seemed very nice.

Howl recognized Kalia as well, and flashed her a smile. She was a very pretty elf, wasn't she? "Hello," he said. "I'm Howl. Kalia, right? Niko's friend?"
Puff studied Altressa just as curiously. He stared. He moved to poke her, before chirping something that resembled a giggle. "Ooooh... Pupu!" he said. His tail twitched happily, eyes glimmering with mischeif.
Kelani was slightly cautious about touching the new comer. She fumbled with her shadowy dress before smiling. "Kel! Lani la-ni! Kelani!"

Kalia smiled, "Yes, Kalia Ravena. I don't know him that well, but I'm Ivy's cousin."
Altressa giggled at the poke. Puff seemed nice, so she hugged him and smiled before smiling at Kelani. The jellyfish shadow had noticed her cautious mannerism or gesture as she had seen Kaliado sometimes when meeting new people.
She offered a hand to the girl shadow, "Ltri, al, tressa? Ess alal!"

"Niko's my friend," Howl confided in Kalia. "He's been acting sullen lately," he added, looking concerned. He didn't need to tell her how worried he was about Niko. It was quite clear. "Ivy, Eve's mom?" he inquired. "Eve's my apprentice."
Puff returned Altressa's hug happily. "Pu!" he chirped. She seemed nice! She was his friend!
Kelani stared before taking Altressa's hand. She shook it, like she had seen her host do. "Kel! Kelani!" she introduced herself.

Kalia smiled faintly, "He seemed very upset at the party, but I did not want to pry and make him mad. I live next door to him though, so I could do something to cheer him up."
Kalia nodded, "Yeah, Eve's mother. So you're the teacher Eve keeps talking about. She respects you very much, by the way."
Altressa grinned, glad that Kalia was right. If you are friendly, others might want to be your friend.
The girl shadow decided to thank Damin for the suggestion later on of shaking hands. "Tre essa, Altressa," she introduced herself as well. "Tre essa All te?" She pointed towards some of the plants, wondering if they were there for plants too.

"It was right after his fiancee left him," Howl explained with a slight frown. He still hadn't quite forgiven Tish for that. "I have never seen him angry," he added. "But I have been avoiding him lately. I was the one who set them up, you see. He blames me."
He smiled slightly at the idea of Eve talking about him. "I haven't been able to teach her much yet," he admitted. "I'm sure she's exgerating."
Puff nodded at Altressa's question. "Pu!" he said in affirmative. They were here for plants. They were supposed to be looking for some for his host's spells.
"Lani," Kelani added, pointing towards the rosemary. "Kel lani!"

Kalia had never loved anyone very much in her life, then again in a family of family members being emotionally distant to you didn't make for a good idea on what love was really.
Kalia smiled, "Perhaps some baked sweets might help. Well, I hope he doesn't blame you forever. You seem like a very charming and pleasant person to be around."
"Eve says you and Sophie are the inspiration for her to try new spells on her own, so in a way you are teaching. You did help her pick the healing books and herb literature, right?"
The ragdoll seemed to like Howl alot as a friend. "She says you are one of her closest friends."
Altressa nodded, "All, tres esa." Her host was looking for plants, but she seemed distracted at the moment. "Ess ss a?" She wondered if they had tried to eat plants before. They weren't like cheesecake, but they were tasty anyway.

"Maybe," Howl said, without much hope. Not even the best cookies and chocolates could mend a broken heart; he knew from experience. "I don't know if he will or not. He seems the type to hold grudges. He was really hurt by his ex-fiancee. I don't know if he'll ever be the same."
"I haven't taught her anything myself," Howl said, self-conciously. "But I did do that," he agreed. The wizard looked slightly awkward at Kalia's next statement. "Does she?"
Puff stuck out his tongue, making a disgusted face. Eating plants? Gross! "Uff!" he shook his head. "Pff! Pff pff puff!"
Kelani gave an almost identical reaction, without the face. "Ni," she said, shaking her head. "Nini. Lani," she pointed to Loki with a smile. He provided her with good food. Perhaps Altressa needed a better host?

Kalia smiled sadly, "Still, it might help for a little bit." The elf was still new to Gaia and it was upsetting that someone was suffering next door when she couldn't help them. Besides being shy, she was a determined healer.
"He sounds like my older brother James a bit."
The tan elf tilted her head to the side, "Still, she admires you and she does think of you as a close friend. She's not as shy as she is usually when she's around you and I think I saw her around a demon before."
Altressa frowned at their reaction, she rather liked the taste of plants though she knew better than to eat poison ivy. "Al tres, esa!" She pointed to her host. Her host was very nice and loved to give her sweets. Plants were just as good though and the shadow had an unnatural urge sometimes to eat something she knew Kalia would get mad about.

"It might," Howl agreed with a nod of his head. "I hope it does, really. I don't like seeing him like this. His son's unhappy too, and Demy's just a baby. I think he thinks his mother abandoned them." The wizard sighed. He missed how Niko had been once. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind making a friend."
Kelani made a face. She seemed to doubt that Kalia was a good host, especially if she allowed her shadow to eat plants. "Nini lani," the shadow said, shaking her head at her new friend.
"Pu!" Puff agreed quickly.
