The Coffee Shop
“Welcome, welcome!” the fiery haired woman with smiling turquoise eyes says as you enter the door into the brightly lit and comfortable café, “Come in, have a seat!”
There are three regular tables with normal chairs and one long table in front of a couch set around the room, next to the counter are displays of different tea and coffee mixes and tea kettles and cups and mugs. On the counter are the daily specials, three delicious smelling pastries and behind it are the ovens and coffee machines that the fiery haired woman is working at.
Around the room are a few bookshelves, but there are only cook-books on sale here, if asked about the advertisement for books, the woman will smile, “Oh! Those are in there,” she points to a door between two of the tables in the back of the restaurant, “I’m just in charge of the café part of the store.”
If asked about the “dreams heard, wishes granted, love found,” part of the advertisement, the woman will smile again, “That’s in the very back,” she says pointing, “Past the bookstore, you want to see Lucier then.”
If asked about the hiring, she’ll hand you an application, “You can fill it out right now if you want, we’re hiring waiters for the café, stockers for the bookstore, and Lucier is hiring a special errand boy or girl. We had some workers, but the twins are busy doing field work right now, so we’re a bit short-handed.”

The Bookstore
Going into the bookstore from the café, you have to stop for a moment to adjust to the much lower lighting level, but after that, you can see that the room is full of bookshelves with a small counter and cart near the doorway that you just entered.
On the counter is a cash register and what looks to be a bundle of dark robes, only upon further inspection (and quite possibly a poke or two) do you find that the bundle is actually someone sleeping with their head on the counter, and sharp jade eyes will glare at you should you disturb him for any reason other than buying a book. The eyes are all that you can see of the being in the robes, but the voice is decidingly male, and a bit harsh.
Looking over the bookshelves, there are some of every type and length, and odds are, if you want it, you can find it here. There is a wide selection, and the shelves seem to go on, despite the size of the building from the outside, this room is huge, easily the size of the local library and there is wonder at how they possibly did that.
In the very back of the bookstore is a small dark door, with a sign,
“Lucier’s Office. Dreams Heard, Wishes Granted, Love Found.
To enter, knock on the door once, make your request, and knock on the door again.
If found worthy, the door will open.
If not, then the request was not truly what you desire, or Lucier is unable to grant it at this time.
Pricing to be discussed on the drafting of the contract.
Applicants for Errand Boy/Girl see Mira in the front café.”

Lucier’s Office
If you manage to get into Lucier’s office, you will find it warm and inviting, with a large desk in the center, made of a dark finished wood, with a computer and an in-out box, and various and sundry pictures and knick-knacks scattered across it. There are bookcases lining the walls, and a black chair in front of the desk.
In the chair behind the desk, with her hands folded and bright amethyst eyes rested on you is a petite woman with long flowing raven hair and very pale skin. She is dressed in a black lacey gothic Lolita dress, and there is a small top hat in her hair.
“Welcome,” she says in a velvety voice with a small smile on her lips, “I must warn you, to grant your wish, I will have to take something from you in payment. Are you certain that it is what you want?”
When asked about the price, she will lightly chuckle, “Oh, it will be something you miss, but it won’t be so great that you couldn’t exist or live without it… but it depends on who you are. The price varies from person to person.” Her amethyst eyes sparkle, “Don’t turn so pale my dear, I don’t deal in souls. I‘ve no interest in the hereafter, I just offer my services to make life in this existance more… fun and interesting shall we say?”

NPC’s
Mira- The owner and baker for the café in front. She is always cheery and possibly the easiest to get along with of the ones who run the store. Investigation will reveal that this place is her wish, a place where people can come to escape the pains of their everyday lives and a place where she can be with her own love.
The Bookkeeper- Only Mira seems to know who he really is, and she also seems to be one of the few people that he doesn’t glare at when disturbed. As such, any food brought to him is delivered personally by her. The only time he seems to not be asleep or grumpy is when someone asks him to help find a book or when he is ringing up a customer. Even then, he does it as quickly as possible. It is unknown whether or not he is here because of a wish. Often is found sleeping at his post in the bookstore.
Lucier- Even less is known of this mysterious being. She makes contracts with those who have a wish and she never asks for a price too great for them to pay. Is she the devil? Is she an angel? No one really knows…
The Twins- Very little is seen of them, though they are mentioned a good deal by Mira and by Lucier (the Bookkeeper is often too busy glaring to talk). Apparently they are very mischievous. Whether or not they make an appearance in the Haven is to be seen.

This is a casual role-play. The main thing is to have fun!
There may be other locations as the role-play goes on, pay attention to the front page, I will announce them there. Don’t forget, the specials in the coffee shop change daily!
Be respectful of your fellow players. Do not ridicule them or the fan base they come from.
Literacy is required! Mistakes are alright, but please do try and proof-read your posts.

There is talk of her adding soup and sandwiches to the menu, but that for now is only a rumor.

The mists part and show a small corner store almost unseen by the hustle and bustle in the city. In bright golden letters, painted in the window where you can see inside the shop are the words:
Mira's Haven, A Place Where Worlds Meet
Coffee, Tea, Pastries, and Books
Dreams Heard, Wishes Granted, Love Found
Below in smaller gold letters are the words:
Open 24 Hours, Anything is Possible
A shiver permeates the air, one that wasn't there before and you find yourself drawn to the door which has the address written in the archway over the door, strange because you were certain that not only was this street something else entirely, you also almost completely certain that there is no Avalon Drive anywhere in this city. Suddenly you remember the strange advertisement you saw earlier today, one that you laughed off as a joke.
Being faced with the reality, it isn't as funny now.
The question is... do you go inside?
