He restlessly paced around the barracks he shared with F'ren. This was the longest he'd stayed in one place without the prospect of eventually moving on. S'kor felt himself going stir crazy. We need to get out of here. I need to get out of here. He complained to his watching bronze.
S'kor couldn't remember the last time the caravan had spent so much time in one place. But they had left again, as usual, but he was still here. He needed some time away from the Weyr. Even if it was just for the day.
Watching his rider's restless, almost anxious, movements the dragon knew he needed to provide a distraction. He thought back to something he'd overheard that morning. 'I can fly now with you. Mine, why don't we go out and hunt the weed everyone is talking about? If we find some may I try one?' He proffered this solution to his rider in the hopes it would help.
S'kor turned to look at his beast and blinked. He stood that way for a moment then grinned. "Excellent idea! And no you can't try it. We should see if Optheli would like to come." An eyebrow arched, meaning Scarath should ask Dynith if the green and Hers wanted to come along. At the bronze's negative shake of his head, S'kor's shoulders drooped.

F'ren breezed into his shared bunk, Toulonth was in the feeding grounds, just finishing up her meal. Throwing his riding gear down onto the bed he stretched "shards, these take some oiling to keep supple huh S'kor"he commented.
He noticed how restless his bunkmate seemed "er...everything ok S'kor?" he asked the Bronzerider, wondering if he should get Toulonth to ask Scarath what the problem was since he also seemed just a little out of sorts, as well as restless.

S'kor barely noticed his bunkmate entering the room. With Optheli unable to come, the bronze rider was trying to convince himself to go alone. "uh-hu," was his non-committed reply to the question about leathers.
"Oh, F'ren." He looked at the other man as if just now noticing him. "When did you get back?" He ground his teeth a moment. Glancing at Scarath when he got a mental prodding. "No. I was going to ask Optheli if she'd like to go Mystweed hunting with me. Unfortunately Scarath says she's busy. I'm utterly tired of these same walls." He gestured broadly to include the whole Weyr.

F'ren was a little bit put out when S'kor initially seemed to ignore him but shrugged the feeling off almost immediately.
"Optheli?" he said bemused for a second as to why that would bother him "Oooh...well, why dont i come with you? Toulonth could use an excuse to get out of the Weyr too." he suggested

"Oh, yeah. I never told you, but my sister Optheli also Impressed at the Hatching. Green Dynith."
S'kor looked at F'ren then at Scarath. What do you think? They're not Optheli, but....? He left the thought hanging. 'I would like Toulonth and Hers to come with us. They will be good company.' The bronze heaved himself out of the wallow he'd made and snorted.
He grinned and turned back to his fellow rider. "Alright then. Lets go." Grabbing his riding jacket, he strolled out quickly with his dragon following.

F'ren looked surprised "OH! She's your sister?!" he said, his mind racing a little "I've met her, she's nice, even if she did accuse me of telling Zevra to steal Ismay's meat on purpose" he laughed at that, he knew she hadn't really meant it and that she'd been upset and angry at her bunkmate.
F'ren grinned, "Alright!!" he whooped, grabbing the freshly oiled leathers and his flying gear. Toulonth bugled out in the weyrbowl, already ready for the chance to get out and take F'ren anywhere he wanted to go and if Scarath was coming too, that was even better, they would both have company, Dragons and their riders.

"Oh you have?" The tone was neutral. "She did? I'm surprised. 'Theli isn't usually the accusing type." He tilted his head slightly considering. He knew his sister. She was usually happy and cheerful. It would have taken something really upsetting her to make her accuse someone. "So did you upset her?" He hoped not, since he liked F'ren.
S'kor grinned at his exuberant reaction. Maybe this wouldn't be as bad as he thought. Riding gear in hand he made it to the bowl and began harnessing Scarath. "I can't buckle it if you don't hold still," he told the twitching bronze. Glad to be getting out of the Weyr, at least for a few hours, S'kor considered where they might find Mystweed. Undoubtedly all the nearby places would have been picked clean.
Scarath tried to crane his head around again until his rider told him to sit still. He kept looking for Toulonth and Hers.

F'ren waved his hands in front of himself "no no ... I didn't . she was worried about her bunkmate's reaction to Ismay.. wrong place wrong time" he laughed, he never means to upset anyone, but sometimes he did by mistake.
F'ren was out in the weyrbowl as fast as he could, Toulonth urging him to hurry. He reached her and buckled her harness on as fast as he could, glancing over to S'kor and Scarath, who seemed to be just as eager as Toulonth to be up and in the air.
"MINE! hurry" she creeled to him, making plaintive noises at him, "Scarath we go as fast as he can" she explained to the Bronze as he craned his head around behind him "I'm here just behind you" she reassured him.

"Ah." S'kor nodded knowingly. "Ismay, yes that cute little green flit she got? I'm sure she'll work every thing out." He knew when his sister was really bothered by something, she'd take it in her own hands quickly.
Despite the spazzing bronze, he settled the last buckle into place. He used the proffered foreleg to vault into the saddle. S'kor set the straps around his legs firmly. Settled he looked back towards Toulonth and F'ren, grinning at his green's noises. "Looks like she's ready for an outing too." When F'ren was settled and ready, S'kor gave a broad grin and jerked his arm up in the signal to fly.
'I know, I will wait for you.' With his rider mounted he turned slightly to watch. With the signal to go, Scarath gave a roar of jubilee as his wings beat strongly downward.

F'ren managed to fasten Toulonth's harness on properly, despite her efforts to 'help' him. climbing up onto her back he smiled and gave her the signal to go. "You'd think she was a bronze waiting for a queen to blood her kill she's so agitated" he called over pumping wings.
"I COME" bugled Toulonth happily, her wings working hard to lift her from the ground and into the open air.

He chuckled to himself. "Well, she is getting out of the Weyr. And we're doing something useful." S'kor answers back over the beat of wings. And really, it was useful to try and find mystweed wasn't it? But where to look for it. He pondered then sent his dragon swooping through the air.
As they flew, S'kor considered. Between wasn't really useful in this case. Being such a small plant they'd have to get down to search. Briefly he wish he'd asked someone where it was being found.
Scarath checked to be sure he wasn't outdistancing the green. 'I hope I do not step on what Mine is looking for.'

F'ren joined in on his friends amusement "that's true S'kor, but if this is what she's like when she's just wanting out normally, i'm pretty sure she's going to be a hundred times worse when she eventually Rises for the first time" he called over, the wind whipping at his face a little.
"So where are we going to search? i'd guess that anywhere even close to the Werys is going to have already been searched, we're pretty late on getting out there huh?" he suggested.
Toulonth pumped hard to keep up with the young Bronze her wings beating faster than his to maintain the speed they were flying. "if we keep away from the thick parts then we will be alright....i think" she replied to Scarath.

"I'm afraid you're going to have to deal with that one on you're own." S'kor arched his brow wondering how F'ren might try to deal with it. Growing up in a caravan, it didn't occur to him what his own bronze would likely be doing at the time. "Least it should get easier with practice eh?"
"I'm afraid we are. Seems we think alike. We could search further out where it'll be less likely to have been looked over or take our chance closer in and hope some got missed. My bet would be further out past where walkers could reach." S'kor had a hunch that just past where walking searchers could easily get to and yet just shy of a short flight by dragon would be an area that was relatively untouched.
'Mine, there is a nice field up ahead. I do not see many foot prints.' Scarath relayed the info to his rider and the accompanying green. 'Do you think Ours will like that spot Toulonth?'
