Its his birthday next month, and i was thinking of getting him buffy the vampire slayer (as in, the complete dvd collection) because i like the series, and its exactly the kind of thing i think he'll like, and he keeps putting it off because he "cant get a copy of it no matter how hard [he] look", so i like the idea of making him watch it forcebly, because i know by the third or fourth episodes he'll become an addict.
Only thing is... its a little expensive, and we've only been dating a month and a bit. Its not spending the money that bothers me (I recently found out i dont have to get something i was saving up for, so i have a lot more to spend on christmas this year 4laugh ), but i've been told its not good to spend so much when youve only started seeing the guy :s
Your thoughts?

If you ask me, you should get him something you KNOW he'll enjoy than something he might enjoy. What kind of things does he like?
Also, as for the dvd, you could always buy it for yourself and then have him sit down and watch it with you.

It's really up to you, but I personally would wait a bit depending on how long you knew each other before.
