In 2327, following the end of Celestial Being's near genocidal intervention in human conflict, the scattered and disorganized forces of the former EFSF banded together in a, then futile, attempt at instating order into an otherwise disorderly world at the time. It took the whole of a decade to consolidate the battered and weary remains of the old Federation into what is now The New Republic.
Based on the principle that the former Oligarchic Republic had been unable to lead the populace safely and effectively, the remaining officers of the EFSF, particularly Lieutenant-General Alexander Kuznyehtsov, concieved the idea of a National Socialist state, governed by a select group of military leaders. It was through this political transformation that the Empire was born from the ashes of the old EFSF.
But, as is known, the tyranny and malicious actions of the Empire are great and far reaching amongst it's people. They were not tolerated for long when a small rebellion broke out some twenty years ago, and tens of millions separated themself from the dictatorship. Although bloody, the civil war was short, and the separatists quickly established a representative republic, with a ruling senate referred to as the "Council". It was by this action the the New Republic rose from the grips of tyranny.
