It wasn't that he didn't want the help but he had been a bit busy. Running here, seeing people there and interacting with whoever suddenly needed interacting with. He wondered, briefly, what happened to the day he was an anti-social p***k. He huffed a sigh and stared in the little window that the large building some feet away. He wanted better equipment and had been meaning to go to the shop that was mentioned to him by a friend yet he never found the time.

He also wanted a teacher that could set time aside and show him a trick or two, it didn't seem like a shop owner would have that sort of time to invest in him...Urgh.

Quint snapped the picture of the building in the old business sector of Durem. This would have to do for now and hopefully he kept his damn thumb out of the ******** shot he'd been doing that as of late, it was a very bad habit.

A woman with red hair was fiddeling. And tweaking...and retweaking. She was trying to get the perfect angle and lighting to take a particular shot of a building before her. She liked itneresting angles....why else take a picture of a normal building?

Using an old fashioned analog camera set for medium format she new this film was expensive...and everything had to be perfect. She was waiting for the sun to rise a bit more...then it would be just right to click. So now it was the waiting game.

He wanted yet another picture as he took a few steps back unaware of whoever was behind him. This distance wasn't good, nor was this and he just kept backing up heedless of anyone that might be behind him. Luckily he stopped short and snapped the picture seeming a bit pleased with that shot.

Quint wanted another picture of the building but at another angle, he moved and tripped against something and dropped his camera which slipped out of his hand and fell with a loud clatter and the lens cracked. He stared down at it and uttered a soft, "********." to show his displeasure. At least it was a disposable...He turned his gaze to see what he had tripped upon to see if it was a crack or something else.

The woman had offered an eep sound as she threw everything into her balance to prevent her from knocking her camera off the tripod that it was attached to. She was basically trying to protect it from whatever had run into her, there was the sound of a crash and she turned her head to notice the camera laying on the ground. She was relieved...it wasn't HER camera but at the same time any broken camera was a shame.

"You okay?" she inquired as she went to go and pick up the fallen camera only after she was sure no one was about to destroy hers.

"Yeah I'm fine," he murmured when he flicked his gaze at the woman. Was this the culprit? Well he couldn't be mad at her since he had apparently bumped her. He watched as she went to pick up the camera and rubbed the back of his neck, "I can't say that the camera is okay..Just one of those pick-me-up disposable cameras...I guess that's a sign for me to go get more serious about it," he laughed a bit and shrugged.

Naturally he made sure no one else would bump the set up on the tripod but otherwise he hadn't gotten a good look at it, "I didn't hurt anything did I?"

The woman was younger and she gave him an impish smile as she tossed a look to her tripod where the camera was still safely stowed on top of.
"Doesn't look it.." She started though suddenly she cut off as she noticed the time and the lighting.

"SHOOT." Came her outcry as she handed Quint his camera quickly before going to her own and looking through the lens, then to the building then the lens and then click...click click click. Some people had been in the way but otherwise she didn't mind the abstractness.

"Phew...well hopefully one of those work.." Trin giggeled before turning to Quint again.

He took the camera back and blinked at the woman's outcry after she seemed calm a few moments prior. Though he seemed to vaguely understand when she started to take a picture. He could understand wanting to wait for a certain time to get what you wanted. He often did that with various pictures though he was very amateur.

Quint tilted his head, "I am sure it'll be good...You a photographer?" he asked actually seeming interested in what she was doing and in her as a person. Maybe if she had time he could get some pointers.

Trinity was already setting about dismanteling after a second of looking at Quint, "Oh you have to let me photograph you!" She exclaimed before she turned to Quint the expensive old camera in hand. Blinking several seconds she registered the question after a moment.

"...oh oh! Yes...well Yes I am." She answered with a nod of her head. "I am not working today so I am doing more personal projects."

"U..Um sure, why not?" he said a bit shy and uncertain at the idea of being photographed by someone else. He had asked a couple of people to do so for him but to be asked by someone else just threw him off a bit. He never thought himself as photogenic.

He nodded a bit at her response, "That's cool. I'm thinking about going into photography myself, just trying to find someone or somewhere to learn off of y'know? Just been running around so much that I kinda had no chance to seriously look," he explained quietly as he pocketed his now broken camera. "I'd have to buy better equipment anyways..."

Trinity was elated that the boy had agreed to pose for her. "Excellent!" She glee'd as she did a quick scan and then pointed at the water fountain. "Could you go over there?" She motioned with her free hand.

"Well you know you don't need to buy you can rent, or borrow mine if you want. But if you break it you buy it." She teased as she then stopped, "Oh...my name is Trinity." The woman explained as she giggled again.

He moved where she directed him and offered his name in return before he addressed the camera situation, "I'm Quint," as he moved to settle into a sitting position at the fountain. That felt most natural thing to do. He wondered if she wanted him to look toward her or maybe just do a contemplative expression while just sitting there like she wasn't taking his picture at all...

"I suppose I could do that but I'd feel like s**t of something happened to your stuff while it was in my care," he laughed a bit and shrugged, "I will try to get my own stuff eventually ... one day...Maybe I should get an actual part time job?"

Trinity gave a snort at the mention of part time jobs though she had one herself...after all she was 'aunt' to two kids she never really wanted to take care of. "Yeah ..something to suck the life out of you.." She complained before she began stalking Quint eyeing him as if trying to find the best position and angle. Leaning the tripod against the fountain she began to move down low and then standing on the ledge before she began to figure out where she wanted to be.

"To be honest the best way to learn is to practice. " She stated as she then got down from the ledge and then moved into a bit too close for comfort space down from below. "Now just ignore me...try to relax and do what you'd normally do."

"Hahaha, only part of the time. Rest of the time it'd be just life kicking me when I'm down," he laughed a bit and shrugged, "just something to earn me a bit of cash until I got everything...I mean I am sure my parents would pay for it but I rather earn it on my own I guess...Just the way I am," he muttered a bit and then nodded at Trinity's words.

"Yeah I guess you're right," he replied with a small smile and then as he was asked to he did things he'd normally do. Despite a camera potentially being directed at him he was quickly able to pretty much ignore it and start staring down into the water off to the side and look contemplative mostly because he did have some things to actually think about.

Trinity smiled and then nodded her head before she waited for perfect moments to come up before snapping shots. She loved his contrast ...his skin tone against the background...made him look like a black and white photo despite being in a colored world. Who needed photoshop when you have such perfect subjects??

"Eeeh...things all come with time. I have some old camera's I don't use anymore if you want them."

He just maintained the pose even as she snapped pictures of him. He didn't even look up at her when she made the offer but he was taking a moment to digest it. Quint reached up and brushed a hand over his bangs to push them out of the way before he replied, "Nah I couldn't take advantage of you, Trinity. We only just met," he laughed a bit and shrugged, "I dunno. Just seems weird taking stuff from people you just met even if offered..."

Quint wasn't one that often got gifts outside of his family. Though no one had really brought it into his head to do so - he felt that he should work for the things he got.

Trinity only shrugged, " I dunno..I could use it to pay you for being my model. I rather like taking pictures of you...ever think of modeling?" she inquired as she gestured he move away from the fountian, "Walk around...I want some movement shots of you." She explained as she backed up some.

He actually blushed at her words as he reached up to hide his face a bit and didn't look directly at her. Quint wasn't used to being complimented like that but as soon as he got flush to settle a bit he stood up and started to walk around with a small shrug as he answered, "Not really, people with my teeth don't usually get made into models unless they needed someone that don't smile? It tends to scare folk," the teen explained as he walked about.

"I rather be the one that takes the picture I guess," he continued thoughtfully as he walked about at random pausing only to inspect something nearby that caught his interest whenever he needed to.

She stopped a moment and stared at him...."Let me see your teeth, " She demaned quickly as she moved closer as if she wanted to get a good look at them. "See I like interesting models...you find normal boring humans everyday." She explained looking rather exited to see his teeth.

Quint blinked at her reaction and was unable to think of any reaction other than to open his mouth a bit and show his teeth in a nice pointy-toothed grin. Sure his teeth weren't horrible looking, Hell he took damn good care of his teeth. So he showed her his teeth rather willingly due to his shock.

She was a strange lady but at least she wasn't touching him inappropriately or anything so he was okay with it. He waited for her to get a good look as he responded, "I guess so. I think it really depends on what you need?" he replied quietly.

"What I need is...a model, and your peeeerfect for it. And well since as a model you can't do it for free how about we make a deal?" She offered backing up happy with he look she got of his teeth. "You do ten photoshots with me and one of my camera's is yours." She declared happily as she nodded her head as if she had come up with the best idea ever.

He blinked a bit and rubbed the back of his neck. It was actually a really, really good offer all things considered and she didn't really have to do all this, or did she? Quint wasn't sure what to make of it but he nodded, "Um, sure, why not?" he replied very much uncertain of himself. He really hadn't seen himself as model potential but he'd try if it got him closer to his dreams and what he wanted to do. He wanted to take better photos and if he had to 'work' to get the equipment he needed then he'd vogue his heart out ... or something similar.

"Alright I'll do it," he said again but this time sounding more committed to the idea.

Trinity gave an awesome laugh, "You should be careful to what you agree to, what if I suddenly declared it was going to in the nude?" The red head teased before she laughed again showing she wasn't being serious. Or was she only teasing?

"Seriously though, this saturday would be a good day to start shooting. You free?"

Quint paused at that and gave it actual serious thought. He stared at Trinity and simply shrugged, "So long as it's tasteful, sure," he replied quietly and crossed his arms over his chest. He wasn't a pornstar that's where he'd draw the line, honestly. Anything else he'd do just fine. Nude or otherwise he'd actually try it out.

"I'm free, umm, want my cell number then?" He asked uncertain how this all worked.

She rather liked his sense of humor, and she laughed again loudly. "Your a funny duck, but your awesome and I love you for it." she stated with a nod of her head, she then quickly went to put her camera own so she could retrieve her cell phone from her pocket. It was a shockingly pink cell phone, with neon star stickers all over the case. "OKAY so how to you spell your name first?" She asked as she clicked the buttons to get to her contacts.

"Haha, thanks?" Quint replied a bit awkwardly as he took his cellphone out of the belt holster he kept it in and started to open it up so he could recite his number, "Oh? Um. Q-U-I-N-T. My last name is Gear," he said as if it made a difference. Perhaps it did for all he knew. He then started to recite his phone number in a slow and measured pace so she could catch it all and program it in.

Thus far he felt pretty alright about the whole prospect.

Trinity happily typed away adding him into her contacts. "I'm Trinity, " she stated and spelled out her name for him though it was hardly a unique name like Quints she then added her number at the end repeating herself for him to make sure he got it right.

"I should probably go though, I have..." Should she mention the kids? Nah they didn't really count. "Work to do." She finished, "I"ll see you this weekend though!"

He added her in return after she had finished adding him and told him her number. Once that was done he put it away and stared at her quietly when she mentioned that she had other things she needed to take care of. The youth couldn't help but note the momentary pause but he decided not to question it and thus only nodded, "Alright, nice meeting you...And thanks for the chance to earn my camera," he laughed a bit as he reached up a hand to wave.

"Should probably get home before Mom and Dad worry, anyways. See ya Saturday." he said quietly as he turned and started to head home.
