Lord Redtail Rathan

Invisible Genius

Redtail sighed, then moved his chair back, standing up to again face Arkena's father.

"Look, since apparently you want to grate on my nerves today. There's a difference between being polite and showing respect, and what you describe, which is chivalry and manners. And you can take me to Sfetif all you want and attempt to get me in trouble, but my Marines and I have this little thing called Diplomatic Immunity. Which means that regardless of what crimes I commit, the greatest punishment that may be brought against me is to evict me from whatever place I'm visiting. Which brings me to another point. As per my contract with this school, my classroom and the gym count as property of the Se-combeian Empire. Which means that as of right now, you stand in the jurisdiction of the Empire, to include all of it's laws. Which means if I must tell you to leave one more time, you will be arrested for trespassing. Now, leave. And if you wish to discuss your son, you must do what everyone other parent must do, and make an appointment. Had you done that, I wouldn't have cared at all for your intrusion. So what will it be? And I will not ask you again."

One of the Marines dropped his stealth, revealing not only the Sergeant stripes, but the insignia of the 10 Recon Group, marking him as a member of the most elite Marine unit in the UEF. And not only was the Sergeant armed, but the glowing red visor of his was locked on Arkena's father.

He closed his eyes and chuckled. "Good... you know about Diplomatic Immunity... than take a gander, for you’re not the only one whom has Diplomatic Immunity... so your threats are meaningless. I'm not going to even tell you exactly who I am and why I have Diplomatic Immunity, because you clearly don't even care... and I assumed since you didn't make an appointment to me or even send a lousy letter about such schedulable fights, than I don't need an appointment to see you... plus, you did say that my son could bring his father so you could fight me... I assume that's grounds enough to just step in here and talk about it, but apparently you have 'other plans'... I've had plans to... even if this is a free-day for me, I've still got crap I got to do and people I must see... thankfully, I put a lot of time out of the way so I could see what's up over here and wither it would have to resort to violence... so no matter what happens here, all you can do is evict me from this room and the gym... I can still be in the hallway... you don't own the halls... I can still be anywhere around the school... can't keep me from school property, for I have a child here... so keep your little Marines out of my face... and you might want them to wait outside or something, for they'd be in the way when we're fighting." He said with a smirk.

An evil grin came across Redtail's face as he gestured to the sergeant.

"Sergeant Dillon, if this man does not leave this room in exactly thirty T-seconds, you will arrest him for trespassing on Royal Territory, which carries a sentance of one year minimum prison time. And ignore what he says about Immunity. In this room, he has none, for the Se-combeian Empire has not granted him any such honors."

The Sergeant snapped to attention, followed immediately by nine other Marines coming out of stealth. SGT Dillon looked directly at Arkena's father.

"Sir, we will follow Lord Rathan's orders to the letter. You will be arrested and held in the brig. And if you do leave and avoid arrest, you will not touch Lord Rathan. If you do, you will be arrested and taken to Se-combe 3 for trial. And though you have diplomatic immunity in this universe, assaulting Lord Rathan is a crime against the Protectorate of Guardians, allies of the Empire. Your Immunity is null and void there."

Redtail crossed his arms.

"Twenty seconds."

He squints his eyes. "No... you offered a fight, that much is clear... a fight offered it up to the one challenged to the fight wither or not it should occur... by those regards... a fight is in order here and now... and if your ordering me out of the room, that means you decline the fight, therefore my son is to be released from your class... I don't have to be granted honors directly, for you must realize that I am not an ally of your Empire, though technology I’m not an enemy… and by ruling, if you even attempt to arrest me, you are basically claiming your Empire wishes to start a war, for others will see your lack of regards for Immunity… and if I’ve no immunity than you don’t have such either… so which is it?... We both have such immunity or neither?” He than glares to the men. “I get that you’re following orders, yes, but… you touch me, you’re going to regret it…”

Redtail was silent for a moment before he acutally laughed.

"Rule? I rule nothing. I'm an Archmage, not a sovereign. Hell, I'm not even Se-combeian. I'm only an honorary citizen. I'm a member of the Protectorate of Guardians. So what I do has absolutely no effect on the Empire. And I think I'll spare you the arrest due to your apparent ignorance of diplomacy. Even if Queen Meriah herself were to kick you in the manhood, it would have no effect on the relations between your realm and hers for two reasons. One, being that while the Empire and your realm are not allies, there is also no bad blood. Two, you have NO Immunity in the Empire. Let me explain how it works. Immunity MUST be GRANTED by the host nation. It is not automatic. Which means your realm would have to petition the House of Commons for you to receive immunity as an Ambassador. However, you have no immunity in the territory of the Se-combeian Empire. I know this, for only two people are allowed to grant Immunity. Queen Meriah, and Nocam Davis. However, Nocam can only grant Immunity for Military persons. And as for the fight, your son turned down the offer, which makes the agreement null and void. So by no means would I be required to fight you. Not to mention if I did, it couldn't be done here. So by me evicting you from this room, the agreement wouldn't be voided. This room was not designed for it after all. Not to mention that I have a class to teach soon. So again, leave my room. Because while I have decided not to arrest you, I will still have you removed under armed escort. And if you're stupid enough to touch these Marines while they do their duty, your realm would not be happy with you. These Marines have the backing of three nations: The Se-combeian Empire, the United Earth Federation, and the protectorate of Guardians. And in case you don't recognize those names, those are the Big Three, the three most powerful civilizations to exist. I don't think you want to start a war over your pride and ego."

Redtaoil sat down in his chair and crossed a leg over the other.

"So, leave. Or be humiliated by these Marines dragging you out. And if you try to make them regret it, you will wish you'd never entered my room."

There was a brief flicker of fire under the hood that hid Rathan's face. Redtail gets very protective of his Marines and would not stand for ANYONE to harm them.

He smirks. "Well, let's just say... they're within the Se-combeian Empire, alright?... I'm not about to give out my reason for the immunity to an exact tee, for you don't need to know it... just know that I am. My son didn't truly turn down the offer, he pretty much summed up that he didn't think I would fight you... so just bring what you need, let's go to a "proper spot", and we'll fight... and I don't think you know a thing about 'my realm', for they wouldn't care exactly what occurred here, nor would they care if all the nations combined went after them... you wouldn't be able to track them with jack s**t... I don't give a crap, you set up fights against my child, you set up fights against me... and you wuss out of my fight so you could watch my son take a beating from a grown woman... it's about time I show you the power force your dealing with!" He says before raising his hand, the Marines falling to the ground as a glowing ball leaves them, assembly their souls. Arkena's father grabs the orbs and crushes them in his palm, making them disappear. "There... a dark art used by none other than me and my fellow brothers from another realm..." He mutters, crossing his arms again. "... don't worry, they're technically not dead... more of captured... never laid a hand on them... never broke your precious rules... yet had done something to step 'over the line'... get the picture?... You're abusing my son by blackmail and beatings... I'll use your Marine friends by taking their souls and possibly handing them in for sacrifices... if you don't let my son go by the time the school ends today, your Marines' souls will be used as sacrifices and not restored... and of course, the number of captured souls will only increase as the days pass, don't think this will be the only occurrence... and don't think that killing me, if possible, or stopping me now would just cease all your troubles with your men's souls being used as blackmail... your wrong. So I suggest you reason with me or else you'll find the dark arts overcome you..." He says as an aura forms around the man who smirked a dark smirk.

There was a flash of light as an entire platoon of Marines appeared in full GIBAS and shield active, a shield that protects even the souls of the Marines. With them was a middle aged man with silver hair and grey eyes wearing massive golden plate. He placed his hands on the bodies of the fallen marines, causing a flash of golden light. And with each flash, that marine got back up, their life and souls returned to them. Each of them then activated their shields and trained their weapons on Arkena's father. Redtail slowly stood up, keeping his anger reined in, though there was a small tic of the left corner of his mouth and an aura of flame around his body. Though his hands began to glow a slight purple.

"You just made the biggest mistake of your life. You underestimate exactly who my people and I are."

The door flew open as Celise arrived in full armor, blade out and ready."

"For you see, your 'dark arts' is VERY common where I come from. EVERYONE knows how to combat it. And Celise and this man here, Legion Commander Celdor Dounoulis, of the Legion of Hunters, are Paladins. Their sole purpose to to take care of your kind. And since their power comes from their God, they are immune to your death magic. So are all my Marines now. And to top it off, the Sabre is still in orbit. That ship can track you anywhere you go. Because I happen to know all about your realm. I know every Guardian of Time, to include yours. Not to mention, JSS Beacon will track you if you happen to run back to your Universe."

Redtail's hands went from purple to firey, like the rest of his body. His anger has subsiding.

"You have but one chance to prevent yourself and your realm from danger. If you never return to this Universe then the Royal Navy will not enter your Universe. Nor will Celise and Celdor destroy you. And don't think you can easily take both of them, much less all three of us. It would be within your best interest to take this offer, for it will only be given once. If not..."

His hands burst into full flame, only with lightning streaking through it. Redtail could hear the voice in his head. It wanted freedom. It wanted Arkena's father. But Redtail wouldn't let it. He refused.

The man chuckles, eyes still closed. "... Foolish... Tis not the same magic as the common ones... yes, that particular 'spell' may be found as comment... but I did more with the souls than just take them... but that's none of your current concern. I care not for how many are after me or what ship is near... for you have nothing on me. Not much information on me, and zero true captures... if you actually look into the records, you'll see that tracking me down is hard unless I want you to track me... for I have a bit of a special trait... immunity to any form of machinery... basically, anything that runs on an energy source and is not truly alive... I can shut off a whole universe's power in a flick of the finger... which means your pitiful guns are useless... and your ship is no threat at all... don't even think any back-up power sources would help either... so your threats of capture, and your little Marine's defenses... pathetic... technology isn't effective if it's not powered at all... you have no clue where the hell my universe is even located... according to the records, it's on Nupa... Nupa's life form is extinct currently, and all the planets are pretty much unable to support any life. I can honestly say that I don't give a rat's a** where the Navy would go, or think that my Universe is... but know that I currently don't live in a true universe... and oh, I see... little sissy a** chicken shits out of a one on one fight... but when your little friends and wife show up your a big man and fight me on with more than yourself... hm... I may just as well summon some help here... I do have a few minutes for a fight, but based on my calculations... if your strategy is solid, you could scratch me up a bit... and I have to look good for my next meeting..." He said as he pulls out a sword, made of a very strong and sharp metal. The sword was able to take immortal extreme heats like the depths of hell to immortal extreme chills like what it'd take to freeze hell over and repeated exposure to such highs and lows, meaning it's nearly unbreakable. He then, though, leans his back against the wall, using one hand to stroke his chin and the other to hold the sword and use it as 'support'. "... but I guess I'm supposed to make a schedule with you before I can summon them, right?" He asks sarcastically.

The Marines burst out laughing and Celise chuckled. Redtail explained why.

"Then the Navy's ECW is that effective. So is UEFN holotech. All JSS are ORBITALS. Not ground stations. And Beacon itself is in deep space so two classified types of ships can dock there. And we do know where your Universe is. Celise's elder sister bumbed into you on the street yesterday. You just didn't know who she was. Your Universe is interesting to certain people for it's blatent use of Necromancy. And maybe in your Universe that spell is rare or hard. But in mine? I've used that spell."

Redtail's skin had gone pale white and his body was shaking. His left hand was clenched into a fist so tightly that his nails drew blood. Some of the Marines trained their weapons on him at Celise's command. Even Celdor drew his small shield and short sword, his eyes on Redtail. Inside Redtail's head, there was a battle for control. Celise kept her eyes on Redtail as she moved near Arkena's father.

"Look, I don't know who you are, and personally don't give a flip. But whatever you've said or done has gotten him riled up. So that's why I'll have to ask you to leave. Let us get him calmed down and under control, and then you can come back. Trust me, I'm the only one in this room that knows the true extent of what's about to happen. And once it does, it'll be hard to stop."

She looked at Arkena's father, pleading with him with her eyes.

"He's my husband and I don't want to see him get that way again."

A dark energy began to fill the room, emanating from Redtail, one that overpowered even the father and Celise's ambient energy.

((Here comes a lot... sorry. sweatdrop ))

He rolls his eyes before saying "Let me clarify... anything that isn't living... basically I can control in some way... and I can disable any form of 'machine' in my way... meaning... if it's a gun, a ship, a tracking device, a (non-self made) force field, a locked door, and so on... I can easily overcome it... why it's very hard to track me down... you need to be strong and wise enough to see a specific person's power level... and since a lot of these empires are dependant on technology to tell them how strong someone is and or where they are... they're ******** if they think they can track me. Since it's easy for me to shift my power level from full force to nearly zero, I can easily hide myself among other power levels... another way to keep me hidden." He chuckles. "Yesterday?... Ha... I wasn't even at my 'home Universe' yesterday... you see, I've grown aware of people's presence nearly always spotting me... to stay in one place would be foolish... actually, in 'my Universe'... we really have specialized individuals... and not allowed to take up any other type of technique... like say Arkena... mage... my first son, Fardic... warrior... my second son, Greg... tech-guy... and so on. Only the adults are allowed to learn more than one technique... more children, more they could learn... first child had to be what technique you know, second being another, third another, and so on... if your child becomes a master of one technique, you adapt their powers, give them a blessing, and ascend in power... meaning since I have all these children, they're all very close to their time to ascend to the ranks of masters... which means I will become perfected... those with all the techniques learned are known as 'perfected', obviously you can guess why... I'm so close to perfected that I can taste it... the last piece that's needed is Arkena to graduate and I will be perfected, like my father... you're not about to screw things up for me..." He said quickly before watching Retail change with a smirk. He then raises an eyebrow to look to Celise and say "He's only mad because he's one ******** up individual... but don't worry... I need to leave anyway... but you realize that there are certain individuals that have been waiting in the shadows for this moment to arise, when Redtail's in this state... so don't be surprised if they show up as I leave, and "don't kill the messanger"." He said before looking to Redtail. "... and I had better not find any of your little fellows following me or else you'll see me REALLY get mad... I'll be back tomorrow, consider it as an appointment just made." He said before finally turning away and walking to the door, opening the doorknob and walking out, closing the door behind him.
Arkena, hearing the door close, looked out into the hallway to watch as his father begun down the hallway. Arkena rushed up behind his father. "You... settle things yet?" His father shakes his head as he continued to walk, not looking at his son. "No... you're damn right, he is suborn... I'm coming back tomorrow..." Arkena nods. His father finally glances over. "I saw the recording... yes, you made an effort... but you came off as snobby and rude... apparently, he won't listen worth a crap to people snobby or rude... I talk to him fro a few minutes and he gets so pissed he 'has to be settled down'... you know what that means." His father said before finally walking out threw the front door. Arkena stopped, as if an invisible line was drawn and he wasn't allowed to cross it to stop outside of the school door. He watched his father walk off as he thought "... weak spot..."
Arkena's father let off a single invisible wave, causing all appliances able to track em down to short-circuit and power off. He smirks before immediacy disappearing.

As Arkena's father left the room, something come out from the shadows of the room... the 'beater', or at least... someone similar looking to it. It crossed its arms. "Hello, p***k... looks like your pretty pissed there, hu?... I know that feeling... know what helps?... beating the hell out of someone smaller than you... yep... that certainly calms me down, that's for sure... not always doing it to calm down either... sometime I get bored and do it... I'm depressed and it cheers me up... hell, even when I'm just fine and happy I'll do it... just fun." It said as it leaned against the wall.
