Mort moved through the moist cavern, the days had started to grow shorter, and the air less humid. As Leaves were starting to show hints of discoloration, noting that the fall season was here and the Winter wasn't far off. Mort had decided that now was the time to explore the caverns of the mountain side and hoard some delicious delicacies for winter. Walking for the better part of the day (Mainly because his stitches would catch and come undone), he searched for signs that hinted he was on the right path. Over the years, he had found it a little bit easier to track down the more succulent mushrooms, by wandering deeper into the cavern's later in the evenings when no one would dare enter then. Whether this was due to the fact it was pitch black, or the fact that weird and dangerous things lived there, he wasn’t sure.

Mort had spotted a small patch a while back, but they looked dirty and small. Not quite what he was feeling at the moment.. As the tunnel grew darker, he sighed as he felt droplets of water fall from the caverns ceiling unto his tough leathery skin. ”If only...I wasn't patchwork" he said to himself as he sighed once more.

Morts foot fell for another step, hearing that familiar crunch echo out under his heal. “s**t.” Jaeden said in a depressed voice as he was suddenly tired to lift his leg from the crevice he had stepped into, the sound of his seams ripping as he pulled. "Great. I just wanted to eat and now, I am here, I am stuck here in the dark..." he paused spitting wildly as a spider crawled across his face, falling to his lip. A slow sigh escaped his lips as he began hearing footsteps approaching him from behind echoing his faint "Hello?"

Chez crept along slowly through the cavern. His skin rippling, tingling. Lips peeled back in mock disgust. Ugh! If it wasn't the sound of dripping water, it was the bats echoing in the darkness.

Ears flicked lightly as he heard the voice of another Voronwe. He couldn't quite tell where the voice came from, it seemed to echo against the walls. He paused, tail swishing behind him. "H-Hello...?" He spoke softly, cautiously. Eyes peering into the darkness behind him, to the tunnels surrounding him. Or was it tunnels? Maybe it was his imagination. He whimpered softly. He heard ... Something. He couldn't tell what it was. He only hoped it was something friendly. And something with some light and fresh, clean water!

“What a lovely dark and dank cave this is. It’s so dark, it’s so humid, it’s so perfect for the perfect mushroom.”

Anni trotted about, swinging her tail this way and that, letting the little glowing stone and makeshift basket swing around, a lone mushroom tumbled within to the sway of her movements. The faint light swished around her, casting playful shadows of eerie forms to dance about, making the gloomy atmosphere of stagnate cave livelier.

Pebbles crunched upon each other and stick to her paw, but she paid no mind as she scoured the cave’s floor, looking for the capped fungi and finding none.

Her sight remained fixated on the floor. That is until voices of others bounced around the cave walls, causing them to tap tap her head to look up and ahead of her. Instead of seeing the pitch black tunnels or even what her light source bounces off of, two faint red glows greeted her.

“Zoooh my GODDESS ZOMBIE!”

In panic, she tossed the mushroom fill basket in the air and batted the wood-weaved container with the orbs of her tail, sending it flying to the mysterious glows.

His ears twitched as his eyes adjusted to the slightly cowardly male in the corner and the other, an loud and obnoxiously flailing female.

Mort let out a grunt as he tried to pull his leg once more, a slow ripping sound echoing through the halls of the cavern as mushrooms rained down on him. His stitches peeling slightly more apart. "I'm not a zombie...twit." he scowled, "I'm just a little...patchy.. Now if you will excuse me, will you care to lend a arm...leg...tail..anything and help get my foot out of here?"

His voice was gruff and annoyed as he wiggled his leg once more.

That did quite a bit of damage. Or not. A mushroom is not known to be the best ammunition around.

Bracing herself for a counter, Anni crouched low and bare her fangs, but the voice that sprouted from the creature reassured her he’s hospitable. Or somewhat.

“…Twit? Well that’s a nice way to ask for help.”

Getting up and at it, Anni trotted on over to the masculine Voronwe and sure enough he’s patchy. Very much patchy very much mismatched and very much otherworldly.

“You sure you’re not a zombie?” she mused as she examine the stitches, watching the faint glow of her glowing stone bounce off of all but the deep stitches across this Vor. A peculiar sight. She’s rather hesitant to help. An otherworldly Vor in a cave usually spells a certain doom. What if he’s not a Vor but an extraterrestrial creature taking over a body of one to snatch up souls of others? Or maybe he’s a puppet of some strange wizard who is out for the world, one mismatched Voronwe at a time. Or she’s just being silly.

As common sense got dragged on back, the orange Vor cautiously approached the larger one, her eyes avoiding his as she examine the ground he stood on and the crack that got a hold of his heavy paw.

“I’ll help. Just don’t eat me or something.”

Getting down and taking in a look at the problem, she tried to limit her thoughts on his semi-dismembered leg and began pushing it sideways and out of the crevice with her head.

hanging up high on the cave ceiling Keul was taking his nightly nap when awoken by three loud Voronwe scuffling about below him. Keul is normally a nice guy, except when woken up from his naps. So he decided to have some fun with these three "Hmm what mischief shall I manage tonight" he thought to himself.

And then it stuck! He let out a loud shriek "eeeeeeeeeee" it echoed through the cave like a monster approaching. He sat on his perch and wondered what the reactions of the three would be

Soft tremors passed through Chez' body, eyes watching the mushrooms scatter throughout the cavern ahead of him. Seeing their reflections cast over with the red light. He screamed! .. Rather unlike a grown Voronwe .. And ducked down, orange paws covering his face. His body shifted, paws digging quickly into the ground beneath as he quickly crept across the floor to duck into one of the darker crevices. His eyes shot up towards the ceiling, eyes widening. Heart pounding. Breathe taken deep. He seen something - He heard something!

What is that god awful shriek!? Body jumped, bolting off towards the other creatures. Sure, they didn't seem all that friendly but surely they were safer than that thing!? Not quite watching his pawsteps he rushed towards them. "Help! Help!" Wild eyes gazed their way thankful for the glowing light one of the one Voronwe. "There's a monster in there!"

"Oh great...Miss Pleasedonteatmemrzombieman decided she's going to help me up. Excellent." he said in a mocking tone as he extended his paw towards her, praying that this one didn't start to rip this turn.

His paw was heavy, stiff and felt like greasy leather in some parts and hard hide in others as he secured his paw around hers, his claws lightly grazing the back of hers. "If I scream, let go...or you might end up with my paw in yours... dissociated from mine.

Mort began to count slowly, "Ready...1...2...", right as he was about to state 3, the loud screeching echoed through the caverns. The mousy one in the corner, screaming loudly as he ran towards them, screaming about some kind of monster coming.

"Alright girl..." he said, trying to ignore the hysterics going on around them. "Pull!!!. Pull!!!" he cried out as he tried to pull himself up with her help, the sound of a loud 'POP' echoing the halls.

No go. His paw’s too heavy to be pushed out from the side and if she had fingers or even psychic powers, things would’ve been a lot easier. The paw nearly dislocated itself from the crack; one more push would’ve done it and Mr. Patchy would be free from the earth. However, his mocking comment make her stop being useful and have her look at his glowing eyes and give a rather flat, “What.”

“Geeze if you don’t want me to help then. … . . . The hell are you doing?”

Anni looked with raised brows and bewilderment as the patchy Vor explained a condition she really does not want to come true. She would’ve let go of his paw right then and there at the thought of having the pleasure of holding his tough leather disembodied paw. Lovely.

Her bewildered state dispersed as a screech echo through the cavern, like an undead that has found its meal, screaming like a banshee to paralyze it’s prey before lumbering over and nibbling away on the poor poor sap.

Damn. Big trouble.

Anni went ahead and tugged and pulled on massive Vor. Eventually he freed himself and Anni could turn tail and run off and out of the cavern and never ever return.

But there’s business to be done and leaving is not an option.

Standing her ground, Anni faced the direction of the sound, ready to strike if things starts stirring. A mess of words deciphered in her ears; words of a panicked Voronwe about a creature in the caves.

“Then don’t run this way! You’re going to lure it to us!” as her words ended, her wings let out a beat, stirring the still air blowing the wind towards the newcomer.

Giggling at all the commotion below him he thought he would show himself to the frightened things.

"or maybe...*evil grin* nah better not"

*grin*

"I'll start with this one" he says spying the orange voronwe.

Keul jumped down from his perch in the ceiling and landed right in front of the scared vor.

"why hello there"

"Ahhhhh!!!" Chez continued to scream. He knew something was happening in front of him. He knew the other two were busy, but did he care at this moment? Heck naw!

Body reared, ears flattened, eyes widened wide as saucers! Hearing the whoosh, the beat of what he could only compare to bat wings he braced himself for impact. He had heard the other Voronwe yelled to him, or was it moreso at him? He wasn't sure. The order was quite clear: Turn around!

But it was all too late ... He was too distracted to turn around now.

The next thing he knew, the ferocious beast was upon him! Wide eyes, braced body halted in front of the creature. Silence, silence would be all that he was. He couldn't even think of what to say. Couldn't think of what to do!

Ears instantly deafened, he couldn't hear the motions of the others. He didn't even really hear the other creature speak to him. This wasn't anything that he was used to. True, he was a bit odd as well, but this ... This thing!

Heart throbbing, hardly a breath taking, he waited. Saucered eyes, body still braced.

"Oh my god calm down fraidy cat!" swishing his tail back and forth.

"Am I really that ugly?" He said with a chuckle.

Feeling bad about what he'd done he lowered his green eyes as to not scare the poor thing anymore "chill out okay? I was joking"

Mort had been freed, as he pulled himself together, tugging at his stitches making sure they were tight. Time was of the essence. He looked around, trying to keep his composure. He watched as the creature landed before the scardy cat. The poor orange Vorowne flattening itself as if trying to meld into the floor and disappear.

"Hey, you why don't you pick on someone else. Can't you see that you have him terrified. Who knows, this rate he might turn into stone." his voice was gruff, monotone. He was not amused.

Slowly, he made his way over towards them. Silently, his eyes stayed on them, trying to make sure there wasn't any sudden movements, though most importantly looking for holes in the floor.

Chez sniffled softly. Checkered tail swishing lightly at the floor. Maybe he was overreacting just a tad. Just a tad, right? Maybe.

Eyes glanced upwards to the batty one as head turned, checking it out a moment. Mock huff emitting from his lips. He glanced around a moment or two before speaking, "Heh ... I was just testing you ..."

He would stand slowly, taking a cautious step towards Batty. "Hi ..." Ears still remaining low as gaze scanned about him. It was still a bit darker than he would prefer. For all he knew, there were still monsters and ghouls lurking about!
