See my dream job is to be a professional wrestler. this will be my second year on the school wrestling team and i've been working out and doing drillz to get ready for it. in addition to that for about 2 years now i've been practising actual wrestling moves and creating my own, aswell as working on my agility by jumping over chairs and doing flips onto my couch. a few months ago i started doing the moves i've taught myself on the tile floor, i do it all on these big couch pillows that i have but i only use them as to simulate the opponet. i've got no problems with it, to me its perfectly safe, but i want to know what you guys think.

I know some kids that do that, I guess there's always going to be danger, but I doubt that would make you stop xd

If you're talking WWE or TNA, you might want to find out a little more. It's not a guaranteed career and usually the youngest they accept people is 19, most of the time they don't like to hire young, fresh out of high school guys. Usually the starting age is about 23.

I'm all for do what you want, but you REALLY need a fallback plan. Unless you work out 6 hours a day, over 250, over 6 foot tall, chances are it's not going to be a surefire career. Diamond Dallas Page didn't start wrestling professionally till he was in his mid-30s.

If you're talking Greco-Roman wrestling professionally, then you would do best to go to college on a wrestling schloarship, but like I said before it's not the best planned career, so you desperately need a fallback plan.

Luna's probably right... (You're the only one that knows, of course... maybe there's no doubt you'll be able to do it, but we don't know that. X3;; ) but if you've got a backup, and are willing to maybe get another job or two if you need, I don't think it sounds stupid at all! I think it sounds like an awesome job. Go for it. mrgreen (Too many people don't reach their dream. Some of us have to make it!)

ok i'm only 13, and only 5'2.5'' but the cruiserweight division and X-division both need small high flyers and i'm getting my agility and speed down. and in school i'm on the wrestling team. also i do plan to go to a trade school to become a landscaper, or i wanna become a police officer, so i do have a fall bavk plan.

It's not impossible, I heard that two kids who just graduated from here were accepted into some professional wrestling league. The odds aren't great though.

it doesn't matter the odds, it matters how much effert i put in, and how bad i want it.

That's great you have the drive and really want that, but don't be foolish enough to ignore the odds. Actually research what goes into it. I will be able to tell you if you aren't abnormally big, it IS harder to go professionally as a cruiserweight because the vast majority of males are in the weight range. Although Mexico has a great underground wrestling circuit, but it takes money to be able to get by day to day there.

Things change a lot from 13 to 18, so just keep your options open. I'm a bit of a realist and not a happy romantic, so I just say be grounded to yourself and research, research, research. Because what you learn in school wrestling and backyard isn't what they're looking for.
