Personality: There are many words that can be used to describe her. Those words are as follows. b***h, megalomaniac, misanthrope, passionate, protective, possessive, violent, and very territorial. Unless you know how to deal with her attitude or just her in general, many would see her to be a b***h because of how unpleasant she can be. If things are not up to her standards, she will make it known and demand things be changed to conform to what she likes. Very few can handle her behavior.
Megalomaniac is a word that works when describing her because, she does indeed have a strong lust for power and wealth, only wealth takes the back seat when it comes to power. In her eyes wealth comes with power no matter how you look at it. misanthrope as she can’t help but loath the human race as a whole. She see’s them as weak insects that lack ambition and who cause senseless war. She is passionate with everything she does and in all of her believes. There is very little if anything at all one can do to get her to change her mind about a course of action she intends to take or a decision she intends to make. If one has managed to claim her heart, her passion knows no bounds and the lengths to which she would go to protect her lover and keep them to herself are frightening.

Biography: Maria or rather Hacate wasn’t always the b***h she is today. She was once a kind woman who believed there was good in everyone. She especially thought so when she met Alex. She had heard rumors that he was a killer, a cold hearted one at that but when she saw his face all of those rumors went out the window. What she saw was a well-mannered, handsome and easy going guy. Of course he came off as a bit rough around the edges, but who wouldn’t. He was banged up pretty bad and in a hospital where hardly anyone spoke a lick of English.
Their first conversation was an interesting to say the least. Her accent made her English rather hard to understand and the fact that she would forget to say certain words when speaking was rather comical. While he did indeed laugh at her, it wasn’t in a cruel manner. He was just amused is all and something in him made him want to help her hone her skills in speaking English. She returned the favor by helping him hone his Spanish speaking skills. It didn’t take too long for the two to bond and form a friendship. When Alex was released from the hospital she traded numbers in hopes of keeping in contact, which they managed to do.
Just about every night, the two were having the time of their lives in clubs or just out on the town within each others company. Over the course of nine months their friendship continued to grow and what ultimately brought them together was a bar fight. Alex had gone off to visit an ATM for more cash and in his absence a guy took notice to Maria. His approach and demeanor could be described as nothing else but disgusting. He harassed Maria verbally before finally assaulting her when she continued to ignore him. Alex had come back in just in time to see this and without hesitation he was by her side fending off her attacker. When he told the guy that he made a mistake messing with his woman it pretty much sealed the deal.
By their fourth month of dating, Alex moved in with her. She knew that he was employed and that he had to travel a great deal because of it but she didn’t exactly know what it entailed, however she wasn’t one to pry. Six months prior to the outbreak, he left for North America and the two kept contact with each other. They spoke just about every other day if they were able, sometimes only on the weekends. They both had jobs that kept them busy so it wasn’t a big issue. The only reason they lost contact was because of the virus. Maria had fallen ill and the riots that tore through the streets knocked out all forms of power leaving her without means of contacting anyone and bed ridden.
Late one night her home fell victim to a group of rioters. They set her home a blaze and what little strength she had, she rolled out of her bed and crawled for the exit calling out for help. Thankfully she soon found herself in the arms of a man and away from the heat of the flames. She stare up at him with admiration and gratitude for what seemed like an eternity. He led her to safety and during their stay with the Rebellion the two had form a small bond, though it was often strained. She provided the confidant he needed and the comfort he needed during such a difficult time in his life. It is because of him, Yashok, that Maria learned to be hard…to be strong. The day he gave her his name and asked for hers she was unable to give him one. The virus has wiped just about everything from her past out of her mind. He was the one to name her Hecate and he was the one to lead her as well as many others away from the humans that shunned them when they all began to change.
While she does slightly fear Yashok because of the beast he has become, she does not and will no fear him to the point of betrayal or abandonment. He is the closet friend she will ever have or has ever had aside from the one true friend of her past.

Mutations:
- Eyes- They were once a dark chocolate brown but now they are crimson in color.
Skin- While her skin appears normal, if viewed under a high power microscope one will find that her skin actually resembles snake scales and how they lay over one another.
Hair- Her once honey brown hair is now a deep purple.
Skin Color- Once a bronze color, she is now a pale violet with magenta curves under her eyes and along her shoulders.
Nails- once clear, they are now black and hard much like the talons of a bird.
Abilities:
- Banshee Wail- Powerful lungs, throat, and vocal cords can produce a sonic scream for various effects, in concert with limited, reflexive psionic powers which directed his sonic vibrations.
Miasma- She is able to exude toxic gases at will, through skin pores or by exhalation. She can utilize various effects on others who inhale these fumes (hyper stimulation, lethargy, coma). The gas diffuses indefinitely in concentration, becoming less potent and less concentrated once it has expanded.
Shape-shifting- She is able to psionically shift the formation of her biological cells at will to change her appearance and thereby assume the form of other humans and mutants. She can also alter her voice to duplicate exactly that of another person. However, she can by no means obtain their powers.
Night Vision- Simple enough, she can see in the dark where there is little to no light at all.
