Nalira sighed comfortably, nuzzling into Aido's shoulder. Suddenly her train of thought was shattered as plates were placed noisily on the table, along with a female voice coughing irritably. She jerked backwards, coughing into her hand, smiling thankfully at the waiter. What a sight that must have been.

Pulling away Aido's lips tugged into a frown and, in a rare show of public irritation, Aido threw the woman a deep glare then looked back to Nalira, clearly ignoring whatever the waitrer decided to do in retaliation.
Giving Nalira hands a last squeeze she moved to shift out of the seat and back to her side of the table.

Nalira coughed into her hand, shaking her head. She smiled, tilting her head to the side.
"So, what's to eat?" She asked bluntly. She reached forward, taking the cup of tea in her trembling hands, sipping at it hesitantly. She let out a sigh, leaning back against her chair comfortably. Tea always had a calming affect on her.

"Er... well, I wasn't quite sure what exactly to get so I ordered what looked good," Aido replied, scratching the back of her head with a light smile before looking to the plates.
"The two plates closest to you have halves of a chicken sandwich, the plate in the middle has something called a 'chocolate croissant' which is a paestry (I think); there's also some sort of soup and a hot chocolate, incase you don't like the tea..." taking the second cup of tea she gently sipped at it.

Nalira smiled, sipping at her tea half-heartedly. Yawning, she placed the cup down and rubbed her hands together.
"That's enough to feed a family of mice for a year, Aido. Well, I'll have whatever you're having. Would you like me to chip in for the bill?" Nalira hated to think that Aido was paying for all of this by herself. And if Aido said no, she'd tie her to the seat and pay anyway. Perfect.

Aido blinked at the food, cheeks reddening slightly she scratched at her hair, "oh... I guess I'm a little too used to have brothers and an uncle who scarf down everything put in front of them. But... I bet they'll wrap up whatever we don't eat, so it won't be a total waste."
She sipped at her tea and shrugged, "just dig in, I'll follow. And no, it's fine, I'm treating," there was a note in finality in her last sentance. After all, she'd dragged Nalira to the cafe in the first place, and she took another sip of her tea and smiled as the warmth slid down her throat.

Nalira laughed into her tea, shaking her head. Suddenly, she choked, causing the tea to fly everywhere but in her mouth. She placed the cup down quickly, wiping her mouth, nose and hands.
"Damn. My tea went down the wrong way." She mumbled, looking up and frowning. "I don't think so. Don't make me tie you to the chair, Aido, because I will. I will not let you pay for all of this by yourself." She gestured to the food lamely, crossing her arms over her chest stubbornly.

Aido was halfway to standing when Nalira began to choke but sat down again when she seemed to recover.
Ew, rehash of tea.
Making a slight face Aido wiped off her jacket where she'd been sprayed.
"Tie me to the chair with what?" Aido asked with a quirk of an eyebrow as she crumpled up the napkin, "and I dragged you out here and ordered, thusly, I get to pay." She paused, "if you really want to you can cover the tip, but that's it."

Nalira threw her head back in frustration, running a hand over her face. She lowered her gaze, scrunching up her nose in disapproval.
"Fine." She stated calmly, lying her napkin down in mock safistication. "But next time I'm paying, tip and all." She reached forward, gingerly feeling around for the chicken sandwich, smiling as her fingers brushed against the soft bread, dragging the plate forward.

Aido smiled and shrugged her shoulders, conceding to Nalira's terms, "alright, alright...."
She idly decided to follow Nalira's lead and snatched up one of the other halves of the chicken sandwhich, taking took a small bite and chewing it slowly as she took a moment to look around the cafe.
