I'm just trying to figure out my own strategy. Grabbing still pays better than the tank (for me) - tank doesn't really pay at all at today's prices.
You're absolutely right - I once figured that if I spent the 12 minutes of my glow grabbing other tanks rather than pimping my own glow, I'd make at minimum 50% more gold. The one thing running a tank does that grabbing doesn't is make me gold while I'm not sitting here in front of the screen.
When they announced they had a fix, they made it sound like they had implemented it, and we should all expect a mass tank extinction around, well, now. But I realized the other day that they couldn't have implemented it when they announced it - or the shorter-lived glitched fish would already be dead (like my Grunnies).
I have my own theories about what's going on, but like everyone else, all we can do is wait and see and grab like crazy people while we still have all these good tanks. Because without the glitched fish, at today's MP prices, only a mid-rate mini-monster tank has a chance in hell of paying itself back during normal fish lifespans.
