Many a time as followers of Christ, we can become disheartened. Sometimes we can become weary in our own walks with Christ because of persecution, our own spiritual battles, and loneliness living in a world that is not our home.

A few nights ago I read some scripture that really spoke to where I am spiritually, and thought that I'd share it with all my fellow Jesus Freaks. Wherever you are, however you are, whatever you have faced, I hope that these scriptures strengthen and invigorate you - May the words of Christ speak to you in these verses.

The Promises of Endurance

"...To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God." Rev 2:7

"...He who overcomes will not be taken by the second death" Rev 2:11

"...To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, written to him who receives it." Rev 2:17

"...To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations... just as I have received authority from my Father. I will also give him the morning star." Rev 2:26, 27, 28

"...He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels." Rev 3:5

"...Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name." Rev 3:12

"...To him who overcomes, I will, give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne." Rev 3:21

"He who has an ear, let him hear,
If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he must be slain. This calls for the patient endurance and faithfullness of the saints." Rev 13: 9-10

"...He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son." Rev 21:7

The Be-attitudes of the Saints

"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord" Rev 14:13

"Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed" Rev 16:15

"Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb." Rev 19:9

"Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection." Rev 20:6

"Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." Rev 22:7

"Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to tree of life and may go through the gates into this city[new Jerusalem]." Rev 22:14 (emphasis added)

In closing, I hope that these truths will speak to you and encourage you. I do not know your battles in life, but if we endure to the bitter end without ceasing, we will be rewarded. Hold true and stay strong. Endure.

Thank you for posting these verses...I hope they speak to the others here as they have spoken to me...In my walk, I have come to many challenges, as everyone does. So I thank God for giving these verses to you to give to us. It offers encouragement for those who have felt weak and also reminds us that this world isn't our home, but that heaven is as long as we persevere through hardships...
