Both items have performed relatively well over time. Of the two Katana would probably be best only because it is at a low and you can sell it once its prices start to recover again. Buying a Katana would also leave you with a decent amount of pure for you to vend with.

What Cryptex said, + that the Katana will rise a lot faster than the KiKi in the long term (says the graphs). Questing for a KiKi would be a lot easier.
