Name: Jayden Williams

Nickname(s): Jay-Jay, Jay, Sgt. Rotter

Age: 29

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 150 lbs.

Rank: Second in Command former Sergeant Major of US Marines

Personality: Jayden, while she holds pride for being an American and loves her country she is not so patriotic where she blinds herself from the knowledge of what her country has done in the past, is doing in the present and possibly will do in the future. She knows full well that her country has it’s flaws and knows that there is no denying it. She is a passionate woman and everything she does, she does it with conviction. Jayden is motherly and will do what it takes to protect anyone even if it means her own death is the price to pay. When on duty, Jayden has a no nonsense kind of behavior but when off duty she is the life of the party who will never turn down a challenge.

Physical Appearance: Relaxing

Biography: Jayden comes from a long line of military personnel. The Marines is in her blood so it was only natural that she followed in her parents footsteps when she came of age. She joined the marines straight out of high school and given time and hard work, she moved through the ranks. It was in November of 3010 when she started attending the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA) and she was twenty four years of age at the time. Despite the panic that was sweeping the nation, she went through the courses she needed without any interruptions. The common leader training for ANCOC covered five major subject areas: (1) leadership, (2) communications, (3) training management, (4) professional skills and (5) military studies. While this sounds like it was a cake walk it wasn’t at all. Her time in the academy was hell.

By her sixth month of the academy she started taking the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), now known as the Warrior Leader Course (WLC). This course is a blend of the previous Primary Leadership Course (PLC) and the Primary Noncommissioned Officer Course (PNCOC) into one course, training combat, combat support, and combat service support personnel together at the junior NCO level. For duration of this course, Jayden found herself depressed. The pressure was on and the distractions of the safety of her family members that were retired from the military had her on edge. It was by hard work and the skin of her teeth that she managed to push forward and progress to the next level of her training.

By her eleventh month of the academy she began a five week program to train master sergeants, first sergeants, and Sergeants First Class promotable in performing duties as first sergeants. It was during this time that her mother succumbed to the virus and her father was admitted to the hospital because of it. During her second year and third month of the academy she moved onto CSMC which is a one week course that provides newly assigned command sergeants major (CSM) and CSM designees with the knowledge needed to serve effectively as a CSM. The 42.5 hours of instruction include leader transition, training management, sponsorship, assigning and utilizing soldiers, boards, retention, the NCOER system, quality of life and unit readiness. The training focus is on the commander/CSM relationship and the duties of the CSM in training the unit to mission standards.

At the end of her second year fourth month, she completed the Battle Staff Noncommissioned Officer Course (BSNCOC). This course effectively combines the programs of instruction (POIs) of the former Operations and Intelligence Course and the Personnel and Logistics Course into a six week integrated program. The day she graduated was the day she discovered she was alone. All immediate family members died because of the viral outbreak. Even though she just graduated at the age of twenty five she was not granted a time of vacation. She went straight to work over seeing and commanding soldiers who were assigned to patrol the streets and maintain order during the time that martial law set in. Her superiors looked at her and described her as a hard working soldier that was reliable. However all that changed when the domes constructed had been completed. Jayden went missing and they assumed she both died in the line of duty and was never found or she was taken captive. She was given a funeral.

Truth of the matter is she went AWOL after discovering that only the rich were granted safety while the poor were shut out. It was something she couldn’t support and would not condone. It was then that she lost faith in her government and with her comrade she was able to establish their group that had soon come to be called Rebellion.

The Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) is a combat system developed by the United States Marine Corps to combine existing and new hand-to-hand and close quarters combat (CQC) techniques with morale and team-building functions and instruction in what the Marine Corps calls the "Warrior Ethos". The program, which began in 2001, trains Marines (and U.S. Navy personnel attached to Marine Units) in unarmed combat, edged weapons, weapons of opportunity, and rifle and bayonet techniques. It also stresses mental and character development, including the responsible use of force, leadership, and teamwork. The MCMAP program has several nicknames, including "semper fu", MCSlap, and "new bushido ". In speech, the acronym is often pronounced "mick-map."

Lethwei

Lethwei or Lethawae (Read as "Let-whae", but quickly) ; also known as Burmese Boxing and Myanmar Traditional Boxing, is a form of kickboxing which originated in Myanmar (Burma). Lethwei is in many ways similar to its siblings from neighboring South-East Asian countries such as Tomoi from Malaysia, Pradal Serey from Cambodia, Muay Lao from Laos and Muay Thai from Thailand. Muay Thai is referred to as the science of 8 limbs, so Lethwei can be called the science of 9 limbs, due to the allowance of head butts. In comparison, Lethwei can be interpreted as being bolder and more extreme. The techniques are a bit slower and stronger than in the other Southeast Asian kickboxing forms, possibly because it has more Indian influence than the other styles.. There are records recording Lethwei style matches dating back to the Pyu empire in Burma. Ancient Myanmar armies successfully used Lethwei, Bando and its armed sibling Banshay in winning many wars against neighboring countries.

Other: When nervous or highly stressed but off duty, Jayden has a habit of taking apart her weapons, cleaning them and putting them back together.
