The aged female began to awaken from her deep slumber. Stardust groaned as she stretched out her talons and limbs and moved her hindquarters in hopes that her muscles would start moving. Her eyelids blinked open and she raised her head a bit higher to take a look around. The cavern that she had claimed as her own was still empty with a couple bones from midnight pickings scattered here and there. She groaned and procrastinated that she would clean them out later. There were also a couple gems that she had found in old mine shafts towards the northern mountains where the humans now resided. Other than that the deep cavern was empty. At first the emptiness didn’t mind the female at all. She had been a rogue for most of her life and lived a life away from others of her kind but now it was kind of annoying. She wanted a companion at her side to listen to her problems and such. Not that Stardust had many problems she just wanted someone to talk with.
She folded in her wings and turned around so that her body faced the entrance of the cavern. The cave was embedded inside a mountain that was hidden by the vegetation of a forest. And thankfully for Stardust very few humans invaded her home.
She stuck her snout out of the entrance that was barely big enough to fit her body. The mouth of the cave was the smallest part of her little home. The den, itself was fairly big that she figured would be able to fit another dragon comfortably. The sunlight pierced down from the heavens and warmed her nose. She blinked her eyes to adjust them as she stepped further onto the perch. It was a beautiful morning. There were puffy clouds that floated above waiting to be stirred into different shapes with her powerful wings. She breathed in deeply and the taste of morning dew stuck into the roof of her mouth. She licked her lips as she smiled.
She opened her wings again to allow the gentle breeze to play with her talons. She closed her eyes. The feeling of the breeze in between her talons felt…good. She opened her optics as she lifted her body from the perch with her wings. She hovered for a brief moment before taking off to the skies. This was her favorite time of the day to be flying. Everything seemed so pure and quiet. She flew above the dense woodlands with a playful grimace.

Wright shook his head groggily, not wanting to be up yet. The sun was shining in his face, due to the fact that his cave opened to the east. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem thanks to the natural bend in his cave. But in the wake of his never-ending luck, he had neglected to notice the very reflective crystals in the bend, and was now paying the price.
He had been in the market for a new cave for a while now, and had luckily chanced upon this one somehow. It was far enough up a mountain that very few if any humans came to bother him. He walked to the entrance of his cave, knowing he wouldn't be getting any more sleep this morning. He shuffled a bit of snow around with his claws at the entrance to his cave, then fell off of his ledge. He fell for a few hundred feet (the steep drop-off was a nice feature he had noted the night before), then straightened out and lazily flapped his wings to get flying.
He yawned, considering where he should go today. He lazily arced out towards the forest on the other side of the mountain, where he thought he heard some animal life the previous night. He was hungry. Suddenly, something caught his eye. Another dragon? That was strange...He knew there were others, but somehow he had never managed to meet another dragon for the longest time.
Still, curiosity was curbed by fear, and he kept his distance. He landed in the forest shortly after, looking around for a quick breakfast...
