Triton cocked his head slightly to the side, eying the red head curiously. Really he was a bit surprised..he'd expected something bit more, some sort of scathing fiery retort, or at least something more then the calm, almost cold response he'd received. Ah well, looks could always be deceiving right? Served him right for making assumptions..

Still it seemed that none of them had much info worth sharing, not even Mr. Dark and mysterious over there. Seemed even more obvious that they'd all recently arrived at this cute little village, looking for work or lodging or..a good scam.

"Elsewhere huh, I suppose it depends on which sort of elsewhere your wondering about. Depends on what your looking for too" Triton sighed softly, taking another sip from his ale, heck that's why he'd come out here in the first place. To look for something exciting, or at the very least something to do. "I hear there's a rise in messenger jobs, specially towards those more out-skirted parts of the world. Heard the Manoui are migrating, and the Gorons are strikin' it rich with their spa's. All a bunch of boring, uninteresting rumors really." Triton shrugged, glancing between the red haired maiden and the dark looking man, he realized he didn't even know their names, and was pretty sure he wasn't going to bother asking.

Scrunching her nose as she brought the eggs and bread out, she remembered she hated boiling eggs. They always filled the back room with a displeasing odor. It reminded her of Mau whenever he eats pumpkin.

Dis carried the plates and dropped them off at their respective customer-destinations. She always felt like she deserved appreciated, after all she gives two eggs per order instead of one. It isn't particularly financially savvy, but they were just eggs and it usually made other people happy. She popped off another smile, "Enjoy!"

Returning to the bar, she leaned against the counter. "So, you all seem a little bit bored. Care to play a game?" Dis grinned innocently in excitement.

- - -

Mau cocked his head to the side as he listened to the Poe. "That's pretty interesting." Though really Mau had no idea what playing with shadows meant. He figured it was pouncing on them or chasing his own like he enjoyed every now and them.

As they drew near the pump, Mau scurried over to the bucket tipped to its side and set it up right under the faucet, "My name is Mau. Like as if you were trying to say 'how' with an M!"

He began hopping up to the handle of the pump and grabbing it, bringing it down with his weight and letting go each time to land with a plop on his rump. The repetitive process was tiring, but there wasn't really any other way for him. " I - plop - can heal people - plop - if they - plop - or I - plop - get hurt - plop -."

Mau rubbed his rump in brief silence and felt a bit better as the friction caused a soothing heat. "Dis likes to mess with exploding, firey glass stuff. We pretty much just live here and take care of the pub. Dis said she used to go exploring and supply gathering but she doesn't much anymore. "

When it came to this town at least, Blade knew next to nothing. However, he had known of a thing or two outside of the place.

"As he said, it depends on what you mean by that. I have heard there was a raid somewhat recently on a village some ways from here," he said after thinking on it for a moment or so. He wasn't certain if that was the sort of news she wanted to hear but that was about all he could come up with for now.

Glancing up as Dis returned with his breakfast, he grinned faintly and nodded a thank you to her.

"Oh, by the way, do you need help getting more supplies? I may be able to help you out there in more ways than one," the thief offered.

Murmuring a soft "thank you" as the barmaid dropped her meal off at the table, Audra cracked one of the eggs and removed the shell, listening to the talk. "Just curious as to what's going on, and wanted to see if there was anything I didn't know about." She shrugged, taking a bite out of one of the eggs. "Though I didn't hear about that village raid." She added.

"I'm not looking to be a messenger, unfortunately." She said wryly. "I have enough work without my even looking for it." Audra wrinkled her nose and took another piece out of the egg. The other egg sat one the plate all by its lonesome, looking like it was supposed to have been eaten already. Audra finished her egg and shelled the other ad left it for Scathach, who would surely complain if she didn't leave on for him. She broke the bread into two pieces and left the smaller piece with the egg.

She raised her eyebrow as the dark stranger offered to help to acquire some supplies for the barmaid. She doubted they were going to be retrieved in the most legal of ways, but why should she care? She had some downright illegal tasks as a mercenary before, murder in light terms, manslaughter if she was completely honest. But then, a job was a job. It brought in money and put food on the table. And she didn't really have a choice with her life on the line.

Outside, Scathach watched with amusement as the starchild huffed and puffed, trying to pump water. His golden eyes followed Mau, who was jumping and letting go of the pump handle. Up, down, up, down. Plop, jump, plop, jump, plop. When Mau finally stopped, Scathach nodded as he listened to Mau talk. The starchild rubbed his bottom, which appeared to hurt.
"Fire is light." Scathach hissed. "I don't like light." The poe added, having stayed near the shadows the whole time they were out. The shadows grew a little and flickered here and there, while the poe idly guided them. He began to feel hungry and started wondering if Audra had kept any breakfast for him. He may be a shadowy figure who hovered at the edge of existence, but he could still feel hunger, pain and an array of other emotions.

"And you say that your not interesting, tsk, liar." Triton snorted, there was no way she could talk like that so easily without there being something more behind it. He'd already pushed his luck far enough for one day though, and pestering the obviously deadly woman about her 'work' was not certainly not worth his life! No way-no how, even if she was pretty..

"Ah, whats that Miss Barmaid? A game? Well now that all depends on what we get for playing!" Triton's gaze dropped to the girl, a small smirk etching its way onto his features. Now here was something that could prove fun, then again, what the dark man had mentioned, that sounded interesting too. Not that Triton enjoyed work in any normal sense of the word, not unless it paid off nicely of course. Triton was too greedy to let either opportunity pass him up, whichever one led to a free meal the fastest or better yet added a bit of heft to his pockets was the one he'd go after, even if it meant butting in a little bit.

"Then again, our oh so noble friend over there has a good idea. You did mention needing help didn't you? Not that I'm offering of course, but if it gives more then the game....Extra hands make the work go swifter and all that, right?" Triton veritably purred, he could feel his damp and silent poe companion heaving a sigh against his leg, and had the distinct urge to take his boot to the darned clingy thing..That wouldn't have looked to nice though..

"Hmmm." Dis took a moment to think, wiggling her fingers against her chin. Accepting help from strangers wasn't exactly her thing, but then again she really needed the help. Dis decided on the man's offer, "That would be nice... but what do you want, exactly?"

She almost thought what she mentioned earlier was completely ignored; but then again, even she had gotten briefly distracted. Dis was about to clap happily, someone wanted to play! But evidently she got excited too soon. His attention had quickly switched to the other man's proposal.

Dis pouted, a little annoyed. Her stinginess was starting to bubble up. "Well, you're a little... downer. I never said I'd give you anything!" She let out a reluctant huff of air at the mention of prizes and rewards. "I suppose you can help if you want. You'll have to talk to each other though. I'm not going out of my way to give you each a payment."
- - -

Scathach's dislike of light completely flew over Mau's head. He thought it was the same reason as him, "Yeah, I wouldn't want to get near one of the explodey things either. It'd probably hurt a lot." Mau had no idea what one of them felt like, but he didn't much want to find out. He always felt bad seeing anything once it was hit with one, though he supposed it was wrong to want Dis to miss just a little.

Mau started pushing the bucket back towards the pub, his rump feeling much better. "I hope we didn't take too long. I bet your food is probably there already." He huffed and took a brief break before pushing again, "You can go on without me, I'll get there soon enough."

"I'm mainly looking for information right now. But if that information isn't really available just rupees would be fine as well," he replied before quirking a brow at the mention of a game. He had heard it earlier but sort of dismissed it since he had other things on the mind. Depending on the game, he might try to participate regardless if there was some prize.

"I'm helping an acquaintance find a lost sibling of hers," Blade elaborated some, "A hylian male with blonde hair, blue eyes. Possibly carries around a blue pendant of sorts and goes by the name of Volare."

Taking a sip of water, he glanced at the other man in the bar as he seemed somewhat interested in his proposal at first. It seemed that the guy was rather eager to get money or something. Well it wasn't really much of his own business. It (likely) wouldn't really hurt to have some help either he supposed. Just as long as the other didn't get in the way when he was trying to get a few of the things should this go through.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 02, 2010 9:52 am

Audra smiled as a quick exchange occurred. At the mention of Volare's name, Audra's head whipped around. She'd head Volare's name from that dark stranger. What would he know? Quite a bit it seemed.

"And I suppose your acquaintance's name is Isis?" Audra asked sharply, directing this to the man. Her eyes were dark with intensity. This could be a good thing, or a bad one. "If you don't mind, I'd like to speak with you about that, now or later perhaps. But soon." She stared at him, hard and long. She knew him, vaguely. From some of her shadier contacts. He was a thief, and a good one at it.

And a mercenary. Well, not too surprising since mercenary's accept work from all places, and they could have met anywhere. But of course, both being denizens of the underworld of shady deals and such things, it was no wonder. Curious thing really, that she didn't associate much with the underworld.

Scathach drifted behind Mau, not keen on being alone. His food would be there alright, because Audra knew how weak he got and in turn, weakened her. She needed her strength, and now as hers was connected to his, he needed food to sustain his energy. Gently, he tried to helped Mau by nudging the bucket with the pole of his lantern. When it proved ineffective, the poe stopped. No sense wasting his energy. He floated behind the starchild, a sharp contrast to the white fur Mau had and his shadowy hoods.

How adorably curious, Mr.Dark and Miss.Redhead happened to know each other..or at least had similar informants and acquaintances; something like that. He was being speculative again, assuming things he couldn't quite be sure of, her interest in him was obvious, though the kind of trouble it might lead to. Well Triton didn't have any interest in that at all.

"Me a downer? Tsk, I'm the life of the party if anything darling! A very greedy kind of life but still.." Triton smirked, it suddenly looked like there wouldn't be anything in it for him if he went out supply hunting for the fair little bar maid, heck the way the woman looked when he mentioned some sort of prize. He might as well asked if she wanted to marry him, such a distasteful face. "I'm also not inclined to sharing. What kind of game is it you feel like playing exactly?" Triton could use the excitement for sure, and the idea of asking for free food as reward seemed suddenly uninteresting, especially if he'd have to share whatever monetary or supply reward he earned with his eh..partner?

Yeah, it was probably better to just stick around and see more about the game.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 13, 2010 2:35 pm

"Ah. I'm afraid I haven't heard anything of your missing person myself. Though, I'll keep an ear open! Something's bound to breeze through here." Dis wished him luck in finding the sibling for his poor acquaintance. It seemed interesting that the woman also knew of the situation, but she knew it was none her business. Though she hoped they were looking for a positive reason and not because of some horrible tragedy.

"And I suppose that means I'll have to pay you in Rupees." She rubbed the back of her neck; things like this made her wish she was stronger, and wonder why she even had a caravan she couldn't pull on her own. "Well, if you manage to get your hands on anything useful, just drop by here. If it's good quality I'll buy it." She relaxed quiet a bit, fixing that problem didn't seem so complicated.

"Well, if everyone's interested in a game for now," Dis reached into the pouch on her belt and pulled out some dice, "All I have are dice. I was thinking whoever rolled higher than me could have their order's fee waved off. I'm not sure how amusing that would be for everyone, but it certainly wouldn't kill us to have a little fun." She smiled a little and played with the dice in her hand, "Though.. if you lose you have to pay your order plus half! If it comes out off, I'll round it down. To cut you some slack and whatnot."

- - -

Mau continued to push. He's not a particularly strong Esper, but he still insists on being allowed to help out around the pub. Most likely the fact he doesn't want to look useless.

"Thanks for trying to help." Mau didn't much mind the ineffectiveness, he more wanted to be able to try on his own. His attention quickly shifting for a moment, Mau asked excitedly, "Oh! Do you think you might know what that hole in the wall is? I mean, if you saw it inside the pub. It's dark and I can't see in it, but when I reach in I don't find anything really. "

"Sure thing. I'll be sure to drop by if I get some stuff."

While it was unfortunate that Dis knew nothing of Volare, getting some rupees would be fine. At least he had Vol to help him carry stuff if he needed it. In any case, the Sheikah woman's words had caught his attention more.

"Yes... actually," he replied while turning towards her. He had to wonder what her ties with Isis were exactly. Now that he thought about it, there seemed to be a mercenary that fit this woman's description, though he didn't know a great deal of the details. It certain explained a few things here, however.

Blade paused there and considered the little game that had been proposed just now. He wasn't much of a gambler but this could potentially be amusing. If they were to do it, however, it seemed that Dis would make away a little wealthier regardless of who won. At least he had some spare rupees so it wouldn't be a huge deal should he end up losing.

"Perhaps we'll speak once this little game of Dis's finishes," he said before glancing towards the other male in the tavern. Seeing how he seemed to be interested in the game in the first place, he wouldn't be too surprised if the guy didn't turn down this little event.

Audra smiled slightly. This was good. Perhaps she would be able to get some information from the thief. "Good. Then I shall have a word with you later. Perhaps we might be able to exchange some information." Turning away, she looked on as the bartender pulled out some dice. She wasn't really up for a game at the moment, so she decided that it was better to watch. After all, she didn't really want to lose the money she had.

"Perhaps I will try my hand at the dice." She spoke out suddenly, changing her mind. "Not like I have much to do with my money really." She shrugged.

Scathach tilted his head slightly, the cloth of his hood rustling as he move.
"Maybe. I guess if I wanted to, I could." rasped the poe, his eyes glowing. Not like it would hurt him to try. After all, there didn't seem to be much to do here, since he couldn't really help this Mau creature with anything.

This was her idea for a game, well why hadn't the wonderful little bar-maiden said so in the first place! Triton never turn down a chance at a free meal, and he'd always had a love for dice, even if he didn't have the best luck at gambling, still it never hurt to take a chance. "Well now darling why didn't you tell us it was a dice game! Honestly who could pass up such a fun and generous offer. Since we all have so much time and money to toss about.." Triton beamed from his seat, happy to see the other two patrons would be joining in on it, after all it'd be boring if it were just himself..and he wasn't eager to pay more then half of his share for a meal.

"Now, what'r the rules for this?" Triton asked curiously, violet eyes shining as he leaned forwards in his seat a bit. Let lady ice and her dark cohort run off and play secrets with themselves. Just hearing them talk, Triton knew he wanted no involvement in it. Just the name 'Volare' sounded unpleasant.

Bastion flickered softly, looking a tad disappointed from his shadowy view on the ground. Watching Triton bicker was fun..but watching his master play games, ever so boring, unless he lost of course! But the poe didn't have the patience to stick so close and wait for things that may or may not happen. His attention turning to the pair by the wall, so much fuss and focus over one tiny little hole. Bastion could only reason that there was something fascinating inside of it, something marvelous enough to keep their attention for so long.
